English: The thing about First Frontier is the hops. Easy… This is an IPA “the American way”, no sticky-sweet malt profile, just the real deal potent and aromatic hops. The result is a refreshingly dry, fresh and bitter IPA, heavily dryhopped with the three American hop varieties warrior, simcoe and centennial, dealing a punch of citrus, peach and grapefruit from the deepest of our hearts directly to ya face. Just added a bit of caramel malt; merely to harness and balance the alcohol. ”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”

”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”
Ingredienser: Vand, Malt, Havre, Humle (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), gær.

Good bitterness, but not as good as it could be. Dry and accessible in terms of palate. Too citric for it own good, but a high profile IPA nevertheless.

Bottle, 330 ml. Pours cloudy amber/orange with half a finger of off-white soapy head, which doesn’t stick around long. Extremely strong notes of pineapple and citrus on the nose, which almost totally dominate save for some hints of caramel malts, grass and earth. Taste is much more of an earthen and grassy nature, with less-dominant cirtus hoppy notes and edges of grapefruit and apple. Tends much more towards bitter than sweet, with caramel notes from the aroma being much diminished in the taste. Body is a tad watery but carbonation is minimal and texture is smooth, so this one is easy on the palate. Decent alcohol warmth to finish. Nice.

330ml brown bottle. Gold-orange, slight cloudiness. White soapy foam, a few odd spots of lacing. Nose has citrus notes - a mix of zesty and sweet peels, sweet malts/caramel. Taste has light biscuit malts, caramel malts, grapefruit, zesty orange peels, light floral/fruity. Long grapefruity finish, late bitter kick. Well done.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a big white head. Citrus hoppy aroma with grapefruit, tangerine, light grass notes. Taste follows the same fruitiness, with hints of caramel, good balanced bitterness, with a light sweetness carrying it through without becoming harsh, hoppy fruity aftertaste. Simple, refreshing and fruity, sometimes those ipas are the best.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a large, creamy and lasting white head. The aroma has notes of peach, lemon, grapefruit, plenty of simcoe. Come to Daddy. The flavour follows up on the aroma with plenty of fruity hops, grapefruit, peaches, orange, dry and bitter.

Bottle, 7.1%. Pours cloudy amber with a persistent creamy medium off-white to pale yellow head, lots of lacing. Aroma is medium hoppy, pine resin, earthy, grassy. Taste is medium bitter, dry, slightly astringent. Medium bitter finish. I expected more in aroma from a To Øl, this one isn’t more hoppy than the lager Raid Beer for instance, though a bit more bitter.

Draught. Hazy, dark orange colour with thick head. Great collection of citrusses on nose. Hoppy, without a malty base. Dry in taste, west coast IPA.

Bottle share with Desverger. Cloudy amber pour with a white head. Nice nose of summer fruits and herb. Dried fruit and citrus in the taste. Quite a tasty number.

Butalka 33cl. OCZY : zamglone o kolorze pomarańczowym. Piana jest spora i trwała o kolorze białym. NOS : intensywne aromaty cytrusów i egzotycznych owoców takich jak marakuja, ananas i mango. Szklaki, tarta, herbatniki i delikatnie sernik. Nuty słodowe herbatniki i tarte.

Aroma strongly of strong citrus and hops. A lighter golden orange pour with a perfect two fingers of creamy white head. Very lovely tropical flavours with no malt presence which I like a lot. A great IPA.
