English: The thing about First Frontier is the hops. Easy… This is an IPA “the American way”, no sticky-sweet malt profile, just the real deal potent and aromatic hops. The result is a refreshingly dry, fresh and bitter IPA, heavily dryhopped with the three American hop varieties warrior, simcoe and centennial, dealing a punch of citrus, peach and grapefruit from the deepest of our hearts directly to ya face. Just added a bit of caramel malt; merely to harness and balance the alcohol. ”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”

”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”
Ingredienser: Vand, Malt, Havre, Humle (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), gær.

Purely American by way of Denmark, this is west coast IPA all the way. The hops are luscious and juicy in here. Notes of peach, grapefruit and orange rule, backended with some lightly sweet caramel malt. The flavors meld well here, but the malt fades quickly leaving a drastically bitter lingering finish. Would stand up to a nice fatty earthy cheese.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Gyldenbrun. Høyt tett skum som varer lenge. Spotlacing. Litt uklar. God aprikosaroma. Smaken tørr frukt. Etterlater en ikke god ettersmak.

330ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and citrus with some pine hop notes. Taste is a herbal and citrus hop bitterness with a grainy malt hoppy sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. A good IPA which is full flavored and definitely recommended.

330ml bottle from Brewdog shop. Substantial off white head, good lacing. Hazy amber body. Nose is pineapple, citrus, brown sugar, pine. Flavour is bready and malty initially, some caramel, then grapefruit and peach on the finish. Good lasting bitterness. Medium carbonation, well rounded mouthfeel with a bit of chew. Bitterness of the aftertaste seems to build the more you drink, hops outdo the malt in the long run.

Hazy gold color, piney-citrus aromas. At the beginning the hops are very strong but then they leave you a nice bitter aftertaste. Nice one.
