COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Bottle at Brew, Thonglor, Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head and a little lace. The aroma is light hop light yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light watery yeast, hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. A little light all round but I did like this beer. A refreshing beer for the summer or any hot climate.

Bottle at home. High fluffy and long lasting off-white head. Clouty orange body. Dusty straw pine oranges aroma, pretty sweet. The mixed flavor of pine and oranges makes the beer less bitter than expected. Low carbonation. Long bitter sweet finish. Well balanced. Quite interesting.

Oransje farge, lav/medium høyde på skummet. Aroma av malt, sitrus, appelsin, frukt og humle. Smaken er stort sett det samme. God. Medium konsistens, medium bitter. Litt tørr.

Bottle. It pours an unclear golden-orange body under a dense, lasting, finger-thick off-white head. Some lacings too. The aroma is rather toffee-ish, with oranges and pine cones blending in. It’s quite bitter on the palate, but also rather sweetish, so it needs to be. Pine cones, orange peel and some canned peaches and notes of bread and caramel. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting bitter and orangey finish. A bit sweeter than I prefer this one, and I can easily do without toffee and bread in my pale ales, but it certainly slides down easily. Well worth a rebuy. 140712
