COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Idiosynkrasie (5943) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 17, 2014
500ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Citrusy fruity hop aroma, grapefruit, some resin. Taste is biting bitter hoppy, initially citrusy fruity, later more grassy with hints of hay, slightly acidic, astringent, subtle malty sweetness. The bitterness has a bit the biting character of the feeling you get when sticking with your tongue on frozen window glass (what we all of course regularly do, I guess). Fairly decent.

Fin duft av cirtrus. Dunkel honning farge. Tynt lag skum. Smak av citrus med en liten anelse honning.

maneliquor (3482) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 4, 2014
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours hazy orange with a sticky beige rim. Nose reminds me of a hoppy lager. Quite malt driven with bright citrus rind and passionfruit. Taste is mirrored - bright fruits, a fair but tangy, moderate bitterness. Only qualm is the malts come across a little stale. Seems as though it’s just not very fresh. Just average
