COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Bottle from McHughs. Pours cloudy amber. Pine, spruce, mint, citrus. Flavour is biscuit malt with a crisp dry mint spruce finish. Some orange peel but vague. Nice and drinkable.

Hazy copper with white head. Ripe mandarin, green and spicy. Sweet, crisp, mint, eucalyptus and dry finish. Overall: Nice. Polaris hops?

Good heavy body brew that seems more like an IPA than a PA. I can’t really pick up on the pine needles thing. Barely the orange peel either.

Sample at All in beer fest 2015. Hazy golden amber with white head. Fruity with pine, zest, resin. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.

From bottle. Pours light hazy golden. The aroma strikes me with pine. The taste is sweet, resiny, piny and hoppy. The resin challenges the hops. Orange peel is also present.

From bottle. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, a bit resin, earthy. Taste is lots of resin and pine, a bit on the sweet side, I know I’m drinking this fresh, but is still seems a bit dusty to me. The orange peel is not noticable, in my opinion. Meh.

Bottle. Pours light hazy light amber with a white fluffy head. Aroma juciy hops, pine, light orange peel, grape, resin. Taste is rather bitter, light sweetness, light juicy, light tropical, alot of resin. Lacks dryness

Tap @ basement beer bar, Aalborg. Aroma of pine and hops, some orange notes. Hazy amber with off-white head, not lasting. Moderate bitterness, light+ sweetness. Medium body, oily feel, avg. carb., bitter finish.

Clear amber, big offwhite froth. Mild hoppy aroma, could be mango but neither orange nor pine. Flavour has light piney citrus hops and light caramel. Smooth but with a nice bitter kick. Decent but slightly thin?
