COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

Bottled. Slightly cloudy amber color, frothy head. Fresh citrusy and piney nose, some apricot and slight earthiness. Light caramel malt aroma. Somewhat malty flavor, dryish base malts and some light y caramel malts. Medium strong bitterness. Lingering pine needle flavor in the finish (almost too harsh). Medium body, sightly over carbonated.

Pours cloudy amber with big white head. Pine-hoppy aroma with some gray pears and butterscotch. The flavour is medium bodied, old world-hoppy and quite pleasant. Finish is medium with good bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33 cl bottle @ Sivukirjasto, BBE 27.08.2016. Rated on 26.11.2014
Aroma has resin, grapefruit, biscuits and minerals. Flavour is sweet with resin, minerals, caramel, some nettles and grapefruit. The sweetness eats the refreshing factor here.

5oz on tap at Liberty’s. $3.50. Interesting label, judging from the picture of the bottle currently uploaded on Ratebeer. It looks like they got a lot of budget concepts for a very basic logo and just decided to use them all. Totally hazy orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Really nice grapefruit citrusy kind of piney hop aroma, and caramel malt. Tasty, satisfyingly hoppy, mild belgian yeasty character. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter. Satisfyingly zesty. A very pleasant danish pale ale. Very satisfyingly hoppy and full bodied; well-rounded. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Kind of slick, lightly tingly texture. Love it, surprisingly. A lot better and more well-done than expected.
