To Øl Frost Bite is an American Pale Ale brewed with orange peel and pine needles. It is so frosty that it needs to be stored cold and may bite if you touch it. This beer is all about the balance (not the bass). Imagine the flavours of pine needles and orange peel. Now imagine the same flavours only represented by Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. This hoppy dry mix of spices and hops makes for the perfect Winter American Style Pale Ale.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pale, Cara Red, Munich, Pilsner), flaked oats malt, pine needles, orange peels, hops (Aurora, Citra, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Amarillo), yeast.

I like pine aroma and you can feel a lot of it in this beer. Fresh, IPA-ish and aromatic. Nice taste - tarty, hoppy, piney.

500 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to Beerlover_Ben. Amber / orange, white head. Lots of hops in the nose, zesty, citrus, orange, fruity. Bitter taste upfront, bitter grass, followed by fruits, caramel, flowers, zesty & floral in the back. Easy to drink. Another more than solid To Øl beer.

Good heavy body brew that seems more like an IPA than a PA. I can’t really pick up on the pine needles thing. Barely the orange peel either.

Rare but very nice beer. Biterness and orange aroma. Quite good APA but price is not really enjoyable.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2015 Deep golden, orangey coloured beer with a slow fading dark white head and good lacing! Grapefruit, orange, zesty/tangy, passion fruit, apricots and hops aromas develop. Light fizzy and slick in texture. Full bodied showing a fruity sweetness with well balanced bittereness. Medium lasting pleasant finish. Great beer!

Pours a dark orange/reddish colour with decent head. Aroma is very hoppy, slightly grassy with hints of malts and caramel. Taste is quite hoppy and dry, but has a sweet background with some hints of cinnamon spices. Very well balanced though and ends in a nice, dry, hoppy bitterness.
