A light orange brown beer, with a nice thick white head. In the nose there is a lot of hops, grapefruit, light roasted malts and alcohol. It is a medium full bodied beer, with a good fine carbonation. In the taste there is a mix of a double ipa and a quadruppel. Where the ipa has the upperhand. It tasts bitter, sweet, alcohol and caramel malts. The aftertaste is more like an ipa, it is mostly bitter, and alcohol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

CBC2013 and 750ml from City Beer SFO.. Great Quad Beer, worthy of several awards, personally i prefer the "architecture", and this is in similar league to all other famous Belgians.

33cl bottle purchased in Spain and poured into chalice. The beer is cloudy amber-brown with light tan head that disappeared quickly. It is very thick and sweet with flavors of plum and caramel, light hop aroma. Hides the ABV pretty well, did not taste like an 11% beer but the alcohol comes through more strongly when it warmed up. Not really a strong Belgian yeast flavor, it reminded me more of an English barleywine in both flavor and aroma. Nice beer but only needed 1/2 of it (but of course I drank it all).

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark brown colour with a small white head. Aroma of toasted malts, bread, some raisins and brown sugar. Flavour of toasted malts, strong roasted white bread, heavy sweet caramel, some residual sugar and mild grassy notes. Alcohol comes through a lot. Medium bodied, thick mouthfeel and high carbonation. Finishes warming, malty and sweet. Unbalanced and messy, unfortunately.

Discovered this gem at BBF in 2013. Delicious blend of caramel, pine resin, toffee, orange, and other flavors.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Was pretty pissed when I had this. I remember brown sugar and caramel coffee, like the sweet fake flavouring kind of stuff with heavy banana. Sticky cooked banana almost. Fair bit of hoppy bitterness and a big heat of sweet resin and booze. Pretty solid but I think it needs to be put down for a fair while. I like the uniquiness though

Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. Toffee and molasses aromas. Thick with caramel and molasses front to back and into the lasting sweet nutty finish. Alcohol is extremely well hidden.
