Fuck Art – This is Architecture is a Table beer or Belgian Pale Ale. It is a massively hopped 5% Pale Ale fermented with brettanomyces, that gives a fat funky ending to this quaffable beer.

(bottle, courtesy of jendrik!) hazy deep golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of heavy nettles and leather, heavily phenolic, with a touch of canned peaches, some grass and manure. flavour is mostly custard, lavender and pale malts, with a light touch of rosehip tea, some more leather and a semi-dry light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Hazy, overripe peach color with white head. A lot of funky brett notes in the aroma along with some overripe stonefruits like peach and apricot. Taste follows with the brett funk and some underlying fruit notes. Mouthfeel is really soft and smooth with the right amount of carbonation. Overall this is a really good beer. A lot of brett character without any tartness. Somehow clean overall and extremely drinkable.

Excellent looking, brilliant, pale amber colour, very white head...superb. Peach, tropical fruits and bread in the aromas, really nice too. In the beginning, the taste is elegant and delicate, very well balanced, crispy and rich in nuances to pineapple, apricot, biscuit...Very hoppy and complex. Nevertheless, as the beer gets warmer and developes, it becomes a little bit unstructured, the yeast overcomes all those nuances and began a very flat beer, with barn and horse blanket touches, and an acid twist, that spoil the overall. Very strange. I liked a lot in the first sips, when it was chilled, but it deceived me a lot in the end.

Keg at Kosmonaut, Manchester. Hazy orange shade with a white head. Orange and banana notes in the aroma. Taste leans towards orange, apple and lemon. Surprised it’s just 5%. Dry and fairly bitter finish. Hops certainly factor in. This is almost part pale ale, part saison, part Belgian ale. It makes for an interesting combo.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Nice looking hoppy fruity Belgian ale.

Bottle camping in France. Cloudy orange pour, huge white head. Aroma is quite funky, brett, fruity, citrus, some spices and quite earthy with some blue cheese. Flavor is quite sour, slightly bitter and with a decent body, heavily carbonated. A bit heavy on the brett.

Aroma is of bretty yeast as is the flavour. Quite intense carbonation. A strong flavour that lingers nicely in the aftertaste. Very close to Orval.
