Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy dark amber coloured with sweet spicy red fruit and tart apple flavours with an orange marmalade and zesty fruity finish.

Bottle. Ruby red, small white-ish head. Fruity and slightly sour aroma. Taste is quite diverse. It has some dark dubbel malt, a slight milky sourness and some nice warming fruitiness of the wine aging. Long finish with some vanilla. Original and very tasty.

Bottle at home. Hazy copper to reddish pour, thick off-white head. Aroma is quite fruity, wine, some cellar, creamy, lactose and a bit earthy. Flavor is quite smooth, slightly bitter, some sweet, a hint of sourness and all very well balanced. Complex and unique brew.

Light brown beer with red reflections. Big head but very quickly falls. Nice lacing. In aroma tones of wood, wine, raisins. In taste clearly feel barrel and red wine tones. Very fuity and a little bit of alcohol and sour. Beer is so complex, perfect for long tasting.

Bottle picked up from somewhere (forgot where) Oxon, Saturday 25th October 2014 Hazy dark amber with lots of yeasty sediment in suspension. A myriad of flavours, soft in mouth, fruity but punchy with wine ageing really giving this some balls. A touch chewy with a wonderful warming and great fruitiness. Love it. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov17 3.9

Aroma: licorice, grapes, plums, vanilla, cinnamon, red fruit; Appearance: hazy red, medium lacing frothy head; Taste: intense sourness, slight sweetness, medium bitterness; Palate: light body, thick texture, long finish, average carbonation A peculiar beer, using lactic acid bacteria for its privilege rather than infection. Counters wine-barrel dryness with fruity sweetness and some hoppy bitterness.

Bottle at home . Pours rather dark and clear amber . OK white head. Smell is sweet / bitter / metallic / yeast fruityness . Taste is bitter , buttery metallic in the back . Some grains, some sweetnes / fruitynes from the yeast . Surprisingly complex . There is a tiny character of buttersotch-ish taste ( perhaps the wine ??? ) that I do not like , but its so blended in , that as a whole, I can appreciate this beer . Not getting a lot of oak . I Can agree on the back text saying its a funky hybrid of styles . Sure as hell a nice thing to have made, yet it makes you question the market possibilities - appart from tickers that is ...

Des malts riches et épicés qui suintent les bretts et le vin rouge dans une mixture impériale et sauvage. Une bonne résine se fraye aussi un chemin, franchement délicieux.
