The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a rather large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of medium sweet chocolates notes with light roasted malt notes. Taste is also dominated some black chocolates notes with light roasted malt, light coffee notes with light residual sugars. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no clear apparent alcohol. Enjoyable but a bit short in terms of complexity.

Great smell of coffee, roasted malts, a lot of hop in the nose and alcohol. Taste is well balanced and full, a lot of citrus from the hops and a dominant coffee taste. Medium bitterness and quite sweet, as an imperial stout should be. To Øl is becoming one of my favorite non belgian breweries. :)

Tap at Beer Temple, 11th December 13. Tried side by side with the BA this was better, due to palate. Rich, lots of coffee, warming and easily drinkable.

Brown caramel head with thick foam of mixed small and large bubbles. Taste is coffee, malt and brown sugar. Too much coffee in my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a completly black colour with a brown head. Sticky aroma of coffee, espresso especially, which dominates any other smells from the aroma. Flavour is massive dark coffee, some bitterness, awesome offbalance. Oily mouthfeel, with a full body indeed. A awesome beer, goes super well with some light chocolate!
