Tap @ BeerTemple. Black colour, brown head. Nose is roasted malts, massive chocolate, coffee, fruits. Flavour of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, light fruity. Finihs is roasty, dry, bitter. Nice.

Color negro opaco, espuma beige oscuro. Aromas tostados, ligeramente afrutados, café dulce y licor. En boca es densa con inicio dulce tostado y final amargo y acafetado. Muy rica.

Un’imponente imperial stout in cui più sapori si scontrano uscendone in modo elegante, carbonata al punto giusto prevale una punta di liquirizia e lascia il palato alla ricerca dei vari sapori che la compongono,grado alcolico percettibile ma senza esagerare poiché le spezie camuffano i 10,1 gradi alcolici..che ricorderete alla fine del bicchiere!

A black beer with a small, medium brown, short-lived, head that soon ends up as a thin film that neither manage to cover the beer, nor lace the glass. The aroma is very strong and heavy malty, with roasted notes and coffee, but also some dark chocolate. It’s also quite hoppy and fruity, which is a good contrast to the dark roasted coffee. In addition I get lots of brown sugar. To Øl probably should have gone easier on the brown sugar, because on the tongue this is simply too sweet. Even the heavy bitter finish can’t cope with the massive wall of brown sugar sweetness. Maybe if the ABV had been increased by 50% it would have worked, but for a 10% ABV beer it’s too cloying. There are some faint notes of pine in the flavours, and they could also have helped to balance the beer if they had been stronger. Other apparent flavours (apart from the brown sugar) are heavy roasted coffee, sweet fruits and some not that pleasant hints of rubber. The alcohol is well hidden. The oily body is full with a soft carbonation. Despite all my negative remarks I enjoyed this beer, and with less sugar it most likely would have been wonderful.

Bottle 375ml. Huge dark brown foamy head still building. Opaque color. Aroma is sugar, chocolate, alcohol and bark. Taste is sugar, birthday cake, cocoa malt and a couple of berries.

Pours a very dark brown/black. Big brown creamy head. Aroma is a mix of well-rounded (i.e. not too bitter) coffee together with cabe sugar, caramel and vanilla. Taste is very sweet, with a bitter mid to finish. Delicate and lingering coffee, espresso-ish bitterness. Medium/light body, oily to creamy texture.
