The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

22.03.2014. 0,375l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Kvadrat, Sandnes. Black colour with dark brown head. The head looks like foam from a nespresso machine. Aroma is black dark malts with strong roasted aromas. Very bitter with strong flavours of bitter hops. There is also some malt sweetness hidden back there. And alcohol. Lots of alcohol.

Wonderful roast of coffee and chocolate alongside some dark fruits. Perfectly balanced in sweetness, bitterness and carbonation. The smidt sensation of smokiness and roasted chocolate keeps tingling your nose long after you've emptied your glass. - with thirst, Niklas

Pitch black colour with a preatty big creamy head. Smells of heavy coffee chockolate and when i open it (at about 10º) i get som liqorice too. As it heats up more alcohol turns up. This follows in the taste but the liqorice dissapear a bit. Quite bitter too.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2015 375 ml bottle @ Cardinal. Pitch black body with a small, brown head. Strong aroma of dark medium roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and quite bitter. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. A nice one for sure, more balanced and expected for an imperial stout of this caliber.

Pitch black body with a fluffy brown head that leaves a nice lacing. The aromas are freshly roasted coffee, dried fruits, plums, cherries, chocolate, traces of vanilla, and there’s a very nice mild hop finish. The taste is rather sweet, with a low level of bitterness and a very subtle astringency from the roasted malts. The alcohol doesn’t affect neither the aroma nor the taste, that much. The aftertaste is long and pleasant. The mouthfeel is creamy and the carbonation is low, but it somehow doesn’t feel sticky like sweet creamy beers tend to do. This is definitely one of my favourite beers.
