The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Bottle. Smells of tar, coffee and toffee. An enormous frothy head. Round bitters, alcohol, nuts, espresso coffee. A fantastic dessert beer!

Nose of coffee, chocolate, and pine. A thick brownish-black pour with a lasting large rocky cappincino hued head and loads of lacing. The taste is overall bitter - coffee, dark chocolate, hints of molasses and piney finish. Full body and medium carbonation. Bitter but rounded mouthfeel. In conclusion, this is a robust well crafted beer that was enjoyed after an evening meal.

Bottle - Dark roast coffee, roast malts, licorice and more roast coffee. Jet black with a rich brown head. Huge roast and espresso bean. A light sweetness along with the roast evens it out a bit.

Pours a lasting beige frothy head atop an opaque body. Nose of coffee with a peach background. Very sweet, figs, soya sauce, cocoa powder and alcoholic cider. Bizarre. Purchased a Metro Liquor in Saanich.

Deep and dark with a small beige head. Big coffee smell with fruits sitting just behind it. Thick and creamy. Flavours include coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits, sour cherry, liquorice. Oats then come through, and a sharp bite that comes across like chilli but may be just the alcohol. Superb.

Pours black with a foamy browny head that promptly dissipates. Aroma is brown sugar, espresso and light dates. Taste sweet, coffee, slight liquorice with a medium sugary coffee finish. Quite sweet like an Oatmeal stout, as the ingredients list would have you believe.A touch of alcohol warmth makes this damn tasty. Good body, not too watery not too thick.
