The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Aroma of licorice, raisins, roasted malts, and some booze. The taste on this one is a quite boozy imperial stout with a huge coffee afterkick, as it warms up it opens up big raspberry blackcurrant flavours, probably from the coffee, and an earthy acidic feel. I feel like they used wrong coffee in this one, it feels like they added raspberries even.

Very, Very great imperial Stout. Peculiar aroma, great looking and superb taste, quite complex, with hints of black coffee, espresso, vanilla, cream, liquorice, even leather. Rounded to perfection, undoubtely is one of the best brews from To Ol.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a short tan head that left sticky lacing. Aroma of ground coffee beans, chocolate, roasted malts and espresso. Flavor of dark roasted coffee, rich espresso, dark chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malts and some licorice. Oily texture, full body, soft carbonation.

(On tap @ Mikkeller Bar Stockholm, Feb 25 2015) Pours black with a moderate, dense brown head, lots of lace. Aroma of molasses, bittersweet chocolate, dates, coffee grounds, oxidized a bit, roasty/sweet/almost tart. Palate has lots of dark malts/brown sugar/molasses sweetness, fresh ground coffee, raisins, dates, touch of vanilla. Goes from lightly bitter/tart to sweet. Finish leads back into bitterness with coffee grounds and roast at the forefront, a bit of roast cacao, hops in there a bit too. A touch of drying alcohol. Medium-full body with soft creamy carbonation. Interesting, kind of pungent and pretty intense with its mix of coffee, fruit, sugars and that interesting tartness. It is complex and enjoyable, but perhaps not as outright drinkable for me as my favourite imperial stouts.

En riktigt bra l som passar utomordentligt bra till en mrk choklad, 70% eller 86%.

Bottle. Black, medium brown head. Aroma freshly ground coffee. Full body. Taste chocolate, malts. Somewhat hoppy finish, interesting in a stout. Very complex and nice overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from mane, aged about 8 months. Harsh but fair. Pours dark as the night with a small light tan head. Aroma is chocolate, herbal, coffee. Taste is really balanced for mine, coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, raisins, vegemite. I still prefer the barrel aged, but this a pleasantly fierce f*cker!

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2015 Bottle at home. Black with medium sized beige head. Coffee, bitter unripe fruits, nuts, palm sugar, very boozy, cocoa powder, flowery, black currant. Medium sweet with bitter coffee/vegetal finish. Full bodied with quite some alcohol. Nice stuff, slightly too alcoholic for me.
