COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Pours black with small tan head and some light lace. Aroma is roast coffee, alcohol. Big black coffee flavor with some sweet malt lingering in the background. Just short of full body, warming alcohol, sweet coffee, dry, sticky finish.

375ml bottle in a snifter. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, hints of smokiness and dark chocolate, some dough, and floral hops. Flavor the same, with a weird coffee note at the end. Thicker texture. A good beer, but I am not sure the coffee really adds to this beer.

Frothy creamy dark tan head; sticky lacing on the sides. Pungent coffee bean aroma, very roasted. Deep charred bitter flavor, like liquified ground up coffee beans. Not overly boozy. Very tasty.

Lighter than I would have expected for an imperial stout, but still said, this is a beast of a beer- just very smooth. Deep smokey chocolate and coffee notes with a huge malty finish. Very nice.

Bottle shared by a friend. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Malty nose with roast and smoke notes. Malty and chocolatey flavor with some dark fruit character before a roasty coffee finish.

Bottle, months ago, time to enter this sucka.

The beer pours a black color with a small head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is sweet and roasty, the coffee flavor is good (surprisingly good for an import) some fruity notes are present including a really enjoyable and surprising blueberry note. There is certainly some alcohol in the aroma as well.

The flavor is sweet, with plenty of dark fruit, lots of coffee. A nice rich roastiness, fairly well balanced with a good bit of bitterness. The beer is boozy in a warming way and as it warms it gets more chocolaty and even fudgy. Just very well put together on all accounts.

The beer has a big viscous mouth feel, that said it wasn’t too hard to finish the 375ml bottle.

On tap at Cask, Pimlico. Growing more and more impressed with this brewery, which I’d previously only associated with hoppy brews. As a whore for all things coffee-related, I was intrigued to try this one and I was pleasantly surprised that it was neither too heavy nor too syrupy. Light and elegant for such a big beer, though it’s certainly as roasty and chocolatey as one would like for the style.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average brown frothy head that mostly lasted with excellnet lacing. Moderate to heavy ground coffee, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer would go well with a after dinner cigar.

Draft, Blackish beer with a tan head. Light roast and coffee aroma. Toffee and coffee flavor. Medium-plus bodied. Toffee/caramel lingers with coffee.
