COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

375 mL bottle shared with ebone1988. The pour is a lighter black color with a large off khaki head and a decent bit of soapy lace. The aroma is bitter up front. There is a lot of earthy hops and a lingering roasty bitterness. The chocolate falls off and this thing is just bitter. The flavor is really complex. There are three different, distinct levels of bitter. The roasted malt is first, backed up by the coffee, and then wrapped up with the chocolate. There is a light sweet mocha that's detectable before the bitter chocolate takes over. The mouth feel is excellent. There is a thick viscosity and a wonderful creamy carbonation. The aftertaste is lingeringly bitter chocolate and light coffee. Really complex and well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Biroholik (821) - Sosnowiec, Poland, POLAND - JAN 17, 2016
Zapach: OH MY GOD!
Potem znowu słodycz w postaci pierników i orzechów.
Przede wszystkim : czekolada, ciemne owoce, wanilia, prażone ziarna kawy i ciasto piernikowe. W smaku palone ziarna kawy, gęsta słodka czekolada, wanilia i cukier trzcinowy. Doskonała goryczka, alkohol ułożony. Pijalność świetna jak na takiego mocarza. Jeden z najlepszych RIS-ów jakie piłem!

Keg at Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium creamy beige head on top. Really rich, roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Tastes the same, incredibly rich, roasty, malty, intense coffee and some chocolate. Slightly bitter finish. Top draw imperial stout.

Bottle - 375ml. Opaque black body with low carbonation and a fading, brown foamy head. Robust malty/hoppy aroma with coffee, chocolate, and vanilla hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its strong, complex, perfectly balanced malty/hoppy taste carries coffee, chocolate, piney, brown sugar, and some subtle cinnamon notes. Here again, alcohol does not steal the show. Ends with a long roasty finish. Great stuff.

Black with a very dark mocha head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, alcohol, dark fruit, and notes of ash. Taste very full, dark and rich. Lots of coffee and chocolate notes, some licorice, some very dark caramel. The whole motif of this beer is "big and black" and it pulls it off very very well.
