COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

375 ml bottle @ Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere. BBE 10.01.2016.
Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Looks beautiful. Aroma of strong roasted coffee and some sweet toffee. Flavour of roasted malts, roasted coffee, sweet toffee, bitter hops and milk chocolate. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a roasty, bitter, chocolatey finish. Well balanced and quite aggressive. Great.

Tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin bubbly tan head. The aroma is peat and malt. The flavour is big bitter, coffee, dark chocolate and alcohol liqourice. A very nice beer, but Id prefer a lower ABV with less bitterness. More is not always best.

375mL bottle. Poured very deep brown with a tight-bubbled, well-retained medium brown head. The aroma picked up a hefty dose of earthy, moderately-roasted, very enjoyable coffee.. green coffee sourness on the back of the nose.. it was really hard to find other stuff in there, but Im cool with that. The flavor opened with tart, green coffee bean notes, with roasty coffee and chocolate following.. a little acrid on the roast front at times.. lots of coffee roast and bitterness plus alcohol warmth on the finish. Heavier-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. syrupy and warm across the middle.. quite bitter.. one-dimensional, but the execution was there for the most part.. solid brew.

375ml bottle pours a very murky, opaque black with some creamy, beige head. Nose has fresh coffee bean, reminded me a bit of the fruity beans that come out of barrels, some wet earth, licorice, mild booze, some cola, some raisin, but mostly just nice/approachable coffee bean. Flavor has some more complexity, molasses, licorice, some distinct char, roasted malt, coffee beans, cola, some barbeque sauce, some plum, a little duck sauce, a little black cherry. Interestingly, a lot of the flavors can also be found in high end coffee bean. Full bodied, lightly hot finish.

Bottled 375ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Deep black coloured, medium sized brown head, coffee and wood in the nose. Roasted malt, heavy but pleasant coffee, light chocolate and notes of hops with roasted coffee and discreet touch of alcohol in the finish. Decent IS.
