COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

375ml bottle pours a very murky, opaque black with some creamy, beige head. Nose has fresh coffee bean, reminded me a bit of the fruity beans that come out of barrels, some wet earth, licorice, mild booze, some cola, some raisin, but mostly just nice/approachable coffee bean. Flavor has some more complexity, molasses, licorice, some distinct char, roasted malt, coffee beans, cola, some barbeque sauce, some plum, a little duck sauce, a little black cherry. Interestingly, a lot of the flavors can also be found in high end coffee bean. Full bodied, lightly hot finish.

Bottle, generously shared by BenH. The pours deep brown with a rich, oily dark tan head. Attractive appearance. The nose is bright roasted espresso bean. Plenty of charred wood. Menacing coffee aromas. The taste is espresso heavy too. Rich bitter dark chocolate accents. Slightly sweet finish. Full body, fat and oily. Overall, a decent impy stout. It doesnt have a depth of flavor that the best in this style seem to possess. But its still quite enjoyable.

Tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin bubbly tan head. The aroma is peat and malt. The flavour is big bitter, coffee, dark chocolate and alcohol liqourice. A very nice beer, but Id prefer a lower ABV with less bitterness. More is not always best.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Dark color, medium brown head. Aroma of loads of coffee, roasted malt, chocolat. Nice spicy coffee which blends very nicely with the roasted malts from the base beer, the coffee is quite present but never overpowers the base beer. Soft bitter taste, medium sweetness. Full bodied. Very nice stuff.
