COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

3 am coffee beer treat. Aromas of condensed coffee syrup. Black as night. Rich smoked chocolates and coffee liquor. Aftertaste is one of the best parts: rich molasses sticky.

37.5cl bottle, served in Duvel cup. Pours pitch black with light brown frothy head (darker than the average though). Aroma is so pleasant: a blend of coffee grains, soft cocoa and hints of smoke...just love it. Taste is predominantly coffee as expected, but complex: nuts, hops, milk-chocolate, vanilla and dark sugar notes added. No alcohol presence, so smooth. Creamy mouthfeel, perfect carbonation. Brilliant stuff, congratulations.

20 cl. draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Black with small mocha head. Nose is cold coffee, grounds & roast. Taste is roaste coffee & malts, ice cold coffee is heavy, bitter roast is noticable in the back, more sweet malts & coffee, light herbs, touch caramel, more on the roasted side of RIS. Body is on the side of less carb. Very enjoyable but falls a bit short of quite a few of RIS, still very nice but probably not for the price this usually commends.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2014 Bottle 37,5 cl @ home. Pours black with firm small/medium head. Intense aroma, which mostly consists of coffee, but I’m picking up chocolate as well. Nice. Tastes intense coffee. Sugar, roasted malt and chocolates also. Bit sweet, in a positive way. Excellent Stout.

Pours a two finger khaki head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Midnight black color, no highlights, some yeast left in bottle. Light-medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Roasted coffee nose and flavor is the same, slightly sweet roasted coffee, no burnt coffee finish. Higher ABV is hidden. Pricey at $8.99 for a 375ml bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

Amazing beer. Had on tap at Jester king and this killed all of their offerings. Aroma is blend of coffee Imp stout and hint of old ale in stone fruits and vinous-ness. Appearance is BLACK with a nice tan big head which really brings the aromas right to your nasal doorstep. Taste is nose but the coffee bitterness swaps places with the old ale influences making it a kind of old ale Imp stout with hints of coffee. Palate is thick and wonderful. A great beer.
