Bottle shared at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Josh, 16/01/14. Mid black with a good sized dirty tan head that dissipates to the edge. Nose is liqourice, booze, big roast coffee, light spice, dark toffee. Taste comprises decadent chocolate notes, light roast, sweet tones, muscavado sugars, light coconut, earthy coffee, touch of boozedom. Full bodied, fine carbonation, booze laced closure. Nice impy with good, but not OTT, coffee leanings.

12oz draft at BierCab in Barcelona. Pours an opaque black with some lacing, creamy, tan head. Nose is fairly mild for what the flavor imparts, chocolate, malt, toast, a little molasses, some creamy grits. Flavor has more of the oak and booze I expected, caramel, vanillin, some grape jelly, molasses, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Creamy finish with just a bit of alcohol heat.

Bottle from Tipples. Pours black with almost no head, a bit of a brown ring of it. Aroma of roasty bourbon, char, chocolate, graham cracker, alcohol, nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol. Flavor is ashy roasty sweet molasses, light bourbon, raisins, lingering oak and char. Lots of char burnt flavor here with a sweetness that nears cloying. Low to no carbonation. slightly thin on the palate. Hmm. Not a huge fan here but not bad.

hard to believe you can get a good import stout, but this and the non barrel aged both hit the mark.
