Bottle shared at Bruces pad, big thanks to Josh, 16/01/14. Mid black with a good sized dirty tan head that dissipates to the edge. Nose is liqourice, booze, big roast coffee, light spice, dark toffee. Taste comprises decadent chocolate notes, light roast, sweet tones, muscavado sugars, light coconut, earthy coffee, touch of boozedom. Full bodied, fine carbonation, booze laced closure. Nice impy with good, but not OTT, coffee leanings.

Bottle from Market of Choice, Eugene. Pours a medium-dark brown/black, little bit of tan head. Unlike regular Goliat, not oxidized, and what a relief. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a really solid Bourbon barrel imp stout,, albeit one that is a bit spendy. Good coffee character throughout, but with more oaky and vanilla notes than the regular, elsewise most the same.

17.12.2014, 0,375l bottle shared @ BBGTC tasting:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is dry and slightly sour-ish boozy, whiskey, oak, unripe banana, dark malts, dark sugar, grass, burnt caramel, burnt wood. Taste is slightly sour-ish burnt, booze, sour burnt coffee, grass, oak, paper, minerals, ashtray, licorice. Longlasting bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle... This beer rocks! Pitch black pour with a fleeting, khaki-colored head. The aroma is a plush swirl of chocolate crme, fudge, blueberries, black cherries, graham, and toasted pistachios and almonds all flanked by a suggestion of licorice. Medium to full-bodied with a slick mouthfeel and adequate carbonation. The flavor presents deep roastiness, sweet fudge and warming alcohol. Finishes with lingering notes of chocolate crme and molasses accompanied by a warm bourbon hug. Muchos kudos to biggsbowler for sharing this world-class treat with the South Florida Crew!

Great nose. Smells of alcohol with some cocoa and oak sweetness. Bitter taste with a warming sensation on the tongue. Quite boozy. I think I like the regular version as opposed to the bourbon aged. The bourbon kind of steals the show here. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ Appellation Comely Bank tasting. Not sure who brought this one! Appearance - cappuccino, basically. Dark with thin crema head. Nose - more cappuccino, dark chocolate. Taste - and its cappuccino again. Some intrusive wood. Palate - close to full bodied, big creamy texture but not particularly balanced for my palate. Overall - Im less excited about this than the others.

Bottle shared with BBGTC X-mas tasting. Pours black producing a small dark tanned head. Aroma is roasty with boosy bourbon notes. Bitter roasty notes, coffee and ash. Taste is quite sweet. Loads of roast, ash, tar and coffee notes. Quite good but far from the best. Body is slick soft co2.

Black pour tan head...you can smell the bourbon roasted coffee and chocolate from a distance. Very chewy...long finish. A very good Imperial Stout.
