COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Oj, vad det här är bra. Ölen är svartare än min själ med en komplex smak av syra, choklad, torkad frukt och vanilj. Dessutom var ölen välbalanserad och kändes underbar i gommen.

Bottle from Ölbutikken. Pours black with a thick 2 finger espresso coloured head. Aroma has espresso coffee, molasses/honey, some vanilla and slight alcohol. Taste has molasses/honey, coffee, roasted malt with slight peat and smoke as well as a slight hop bite, close to no alcohol presence. Smooth mouth feel. After taste is warming, sweet and then dry and slightly bitter but not as bitter as many other imperial stouts.

T - Roasted dark chocolate and caramel malts, roasted coffee, cocoa, molasses, black licorice, earthy hops, bit of dark fruits, vanilla, and booze. M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin bubbly tan head. The aroma is peat and malt. The flavour is big bitter, coffee, dark chocolate and alcohol liqourice. A very nice beer, but I’d prefer a lower ABV with less bitterness. More is not always best.

Bottle at bar. Dark black color, brown head. Bitter, salty taste with nuts, chocolate, plums, liquorice and coffee. Nicely balanced body, a bit of the ABV still kicking in. Very nice imperial stout.

Bottle, 375cl. A black one, topped by a small, dark tan head leaving some lacings. Coffee, roasted malts, some dark chocolate, and a little hoppy touch in the aroma. The flavor has loads of coffee, as well as roasted malts, dark chocolate and a faint touch of vegetables. Full body, soft carbonation. Lasting roasted finish. A nice beer, that’s for sure, but maybe a bit one-dimensional. 130516

Bottle 375ml @ Geokkjer
Pours pitch black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel and floral. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long chocolate, coffee and bitter finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Black pour. Slim tan head. Little bit of lacing. Huge coffee and chocolate aroma. Creamy, smooth, coffee and chocolate taste. Some figs, malt, vanilla, and a bit of alcohol. Some heat from the alcohol, but mellowed out by the smooth finish. Just a touch of bitterness in the back from, maybe, coffee. Nice warmer.

Pours to a pitch black body with a long lasting creamy tan head. Awesome spotty lacing. Aroma is chocolate and heavy delicate coffee. Some brownie and caramel. Rich and decadent. The flavor is pretty identical in descriptors to the aroma. Very balanced and complex. The palate is rich and creamy. Thick but not sticky. Amazing!
