The great warrior of Gath. The mighty champion of the Philistines. Embedded in ancient folklore and religion. Coming from the World of Old. His size and stature is not human. He is bigger. The armor of Goliat is black. Creamy black lacings. Stands with a towering height. He can grab elements from both earth and heaven. Earthy, roasted, notes from the earth. Warming, pungent, sweet notes from the skies. His heart is beating slowly, almost endlessly slow. This man is thought to be invincible!

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, roasted barley, dark cassonade sugar, flaked oats, hops, gourmet coffee and yeast.

Black with tan head. A bit too light body to carry the beer. Malty sweetness with milkchocolate, roasted malts and coffee.

500ml bomber from Beer Bazaar. A bit of a foamy pour, heavily black body with a brown head, leaving a lot of lace. Nose is like diving into a chocolate coffee bean. Caramel. Light vanilla. But luscious, big, green coffee beans. Taste has more of a chocolate cocoa lead, with espresso, some lactose and caramel solidly there. Raw and a bit rough. Full bodied with a bit of alcohol. Finishes to the roasty bitter side of bittersweet. Definite fan. 15.9

Average creamy dark brown lasting head with murky black body. Heavy malt molasses and coffee with smoke touch. Full creamy body with soft carbonation and bitter finish. Long duration flavor. Slightly sweet and heavy bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Coffee (and some chocolate) comes thorough nicely. Sugar does too, a little too much in the finish, but still a great beer.

Pours very thick, black colour with an apology for a head (which is not a flaw considering the high abv). Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted... subdued. Really sweet in the taste with chocolate and coffee, some noble alcohol and long, roasted finish. Very good beer but... in fact it is a bit too ordinary and lacks some compexity - I can find Polish Baltic Porters that offer more - both in the aroma and the taste (providing they are in their top form).

Bottle. Viscous near black with a finely bubbled tan head. Bitter roast and raw coffee, undertones of capsicum and caramel, lots of residual sugars, very sweet with a bitter finish. Not as grand as Id expected-- a bit simple; sweet without complexity.

10.1% ABV. Imperial coffee stout. Poured out of bottle 40SRM, a thick syrupy black brown nectar. Beautiful. Nose is full of understated, cocoa like flavors. There are some clean and neatly roasty flavors. Some nice sweet dates or like a fresh date pudding. Beautifully balanced carbonation which for something like in an imperial stout is an infrequent enough thing. If you thought the nose was date pudding, the palate is lightly fruity then roasted oats, barley toast, coffee, dark chocolate, cotton candy. Cleanest finish of any of the imperial stouts. Homer big time!!! Goes on favorites list!!

375ml bottle, pours black with a tan lace. Aroma is dry coffee, bleack treacle and toffee, light roast and dry, bitter espresso, body is light medium, texture is syrupy then finishes quite dry, finish is sweet, carbonation is soft to flat.

Incredibly much aroma of coffee. The palate is liquorice, dark coffee, dark chocolate, which I like a lot. Very heavy bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the mouth forever. Im just enjoying this beer. Truly a taste sensation! Follow me @ Kung av l @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Pitch black with plenty of dark tan head. Smells of strong black roasted coffee, and chocolate dominate. Taste is a roasted chocolate coffee, mocha, roasted hop bitter, ash. Smooth and easy to drink for the high abv, creamy. A sweetness and earthy hop bitter to finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Stone in Asagaya. Pours a dark, deep brown with a huge brown head that leaves a nice rim around the glass and gorgeous lacing. Big aromas of milk chocolate syrup, cacao, roasted espresso with some light wood character as well. Taste lives up to the nose, with a little bit of fruity sourness that rears its head as well (prune?). Nice bittersweet and roasty flavor but overall well-balanced.
