A dark reddish brown with a tan head. The nose is quite interesting: peppery cocoa nibs, vanilla & oak. The body is a medium & fairly smooth. The taste is pleasant chocolate but the nose was better. Solid.

200ml tasting pour at Beer For Geeks. Deep black body with a smooth dark beige head that lasts throughout. It smells of dark chocolate, coffee, and vanilla and follow through on the palate. Very warming in the mouth with a lasting finish. Really great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Beer for Geeks, Seoul. Black with a creamy beige head. Nice coconut aroma as well as coffee and vanilla. Hints of marcipane. Well-balanced dryness in the mouth. Great craft beer.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours black with a rather big frothy mocha head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of sticky trace on the glass. Smell is sweet, malty and slightly vegetal with roasted malts, caramel, dark roast coffee, cocoa powder, red chili, roasted bell peppers, moist soil, alcohol and hints of smoke. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, dark bread, charred wood, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, moist soil, smoke, soot, hay, burnt bell peppers and alcohol. Mouthfeel is soft, viscous, round, tiny roasted astringent and medium to full bodied. Finish is bitter with roasted malts, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, charred wood, moist soil, soot, burnt bell peppers and alcohol. Decent but unspectacular IS.

This one seams strongly hopped for a stout. It’s very easy to drink for the amount of alcohol. Complex aromas and flavor. Strong toffee and orange. Overall a great beer to look for again even if it gets a bit borring on the end.

Countbeer (4825) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2014
Bottle: Thanks Dollewaitor: Served in a Chouffe glass: Big beige head. Black beer. Aroma is quite fruity, think mostly hop fruits and exotic fruits. Light roast, some wood roast and mocha. Mostly fruit! Flavour is light roasty and bitter with some grapefruit and light citrus tone, light coffee and some wood roast and sweet coal. Aftertaste is fruity bitter, grapefruit, coffee and roast with some wood roast. Low carbo, creamy miuthfeel and texture and a more than medium body. Crispy, surprisingly. Very easy drinkable. Close to a BIPA. Very tasty!
