On tap at mikkeller bangkok. Overwhelming aroma of raspberry. Also lots of orange, little bit of lemon, pine and caramel. Some bitterness to it, way too much sweet raspberry juice in the aftertaste though.

Bottle @ Appellation Comely Bank tasting thanks to, I donít know! Appearance - bright orange with a thin head. Nose - marmalade and herbs. Taste - redcurrants, more herbs and maybe the marmalade again. Palate - medium bodied with a rich texture but tangy texture and a nice drying finish. Overall - interesting and enjoyable.

375ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Cloudy copper color. Medium size, pink head, stays. Fruity, juicy, cranberry, malty aroma. Raspberry, sweet, malty, bit woody and juicy taste. Ohh my ohh my what kind of bastard adds raspberry juice to potentially good barley wine?

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2014 375ml bottle (BierKompass.de)
Raspberry juice aroma, with the seeds. Hazy deep red, nice persistent off-white head. Full palate, sweet, slippery. Some pleasant sweet malts, but ruined by way too much raspberry. Some twigginess, but way too sweet. Does cover the alcohol very well, until it hits your throat, as after youíve swallowed thereís quite a warming burn on the way down. Itís not badly made, but itís a concept that is just messed up. Raspberry totally messes this up. Donít let it warm up, itís horrifically boozy if you do that.

375 ml bottle. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours a cloudy reddish/brown color with about a half inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like raspberry juice, caramel malt, orange peel and booze. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but thereís also fruity tartness and a weird medicinal/herbal flavor noticeable. Taste reminds me more of a fruit beer than a barleywine, but the medicinal flavor doesnít do this brew any favors, it tends to get worse the longer Iím drinking it. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, itís a bit slick and syrupy with a good amount of carbonation. Overall this was a disappointment for me since Iíve liked most of the To ōl beers Iíve had before. It was interesting and worth a try once, but I wouldnít buy this again (not at $11.99 a bottle, anyways). But hey, I finished the bottle with no problem so it couldnít have been too bad.

Bottle. Brown amber hazy. I really loved the bigger than- barleywine, so had high hopes. But this is completely different. Nose has red raspberry fruity, some leathery caramels maltyness. Thick full oily body. But with a nice orange acidity and bitters to wipe the palate clean. Sweet though and massive. Feels like a framboise with a good load of everything packed into it. Alcohol. Sweetness. Dried fruits, malts. This is an extreme beer. Not really the quiet sipper I was expecting.

I was skeptical that this was placed under fruit beer rather than Barley Wine, but itís definitely a fruit beer. Really nice raspberry puree/jam character with a bit of orange peel poking through, sweet but not overwhelming, hides its alcohol well, very good beer overall.
