375mL green glass bottle pours with a very dark mahogany colored body the supports a nearly tight tall mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up prunes, Concord grapes, chocolate, dark roasted coffee and then a sweet mix of molasses and a thin ribbon of black licorice. The taste is full and firm yet smooth and rich. It starts with sweet figs, prunes and dark colored grapes. It then gets into a sweet mix of molasses, dark roasted coffee, dark roasted malts, a sliver of burnt malts and chocolate. It ends with plenty of dark roasted malts, molasses infused burnt malts, yum. For 15% this has restrained booziness.

37,5cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours black with beige head. Dark malty aroma with sweet chocolate, milky notes, dark fruits and hints of alcohol. Sweet and malty with roasty flavours and a certain dryness and bitterness in the finish. Descent stuff, but a bit to sweet and alcoholic for my taste.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Sandefjord, July 2014( in stock from chiristmas beer release 2013). Bb date oct 2023. Pitch black color, some foam. Roasted aromas, coffee, licorice, malt, dried fruits; high intensity. Full body & high complexity . Quite sweet, with alcohol sting and taste- unbalanced. Enjoyable- would probably improve with the years.

Bottled 375ml. Peppery on the nose. Full bodied. Pretty pleasant and without major flaws. A sweet stout a day - push it, push it real good!

Deep dark thick black pour. Heavy dark chocolate and berry aroma. Taste is slightly sour, more dark chocolate, Milky Coffee, sweet dark berries, medium body, slick mouth-feel, medium bitterness, light carbonation is perfect, prickly spicy finish. Fantastic. My bottle says 15%, cant tell though.

Draught at KØ14. Coffee aroma, vinous and citric. Black colour. Small brown head. The flavour is quite sweet, slightly spicy. Has a mild alcohol bite in the finish, well hidden by the rather massive sweetness.

Skinnyviking (7062) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2014
Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Low fluffy lasting brown head. Black it is indeed. Roasted malt cocoa coffee aroma. Odd sour liquorice coffe flavor with a lot of alcohol. Low carbonation. Long finish. Wondered ikf something was wrong with it but the cute German, Swedish speaking, barmaid claimed that that was not the fact. It should taste like that. Worst tasting beer that I have had for quite some time.
