Really on the sweet side for me, boozy, very full bodied, lactic, but nice.

Zeer zwarte kleur met flinke schuimkraag. Mooi aroma maar vooral een mooie zachte romige smaak.

Bottle, Brewdog Leicester. Very dark brown with a beige head. Caramel and chocolate with coffee. Dark cherries and blackberries with hints of vanilla. Raisins with plummy notes. Creamy with a vinous character. Plenty of lactose. Syrupy sweet, super strong yet sips down nicely. Got character.

Rich boozy aroma. Kind of like a good oaky red wine but it has notes of lactose, cocoa and dark fruit upon further inspection. Shiny dense black color with a brown head of foam. Surprising amount of long lasting foam for 15% ABV. The taste also has a wine-like quality with a unique absence of roast and hops. Funny tasting, should have been classified as a sweet stout; perhaps the ABV prevents that. Very disappointing palate. Thin and weak. Not a fan; save your money on this one.

Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. A spiced version of the Mælk, still an impressive milk imperial stout, but it’s not quite as good as other Mælks. Still very sweet, almost sticky, but there’s less of a balanced between that and... Well, the rest, as the sweetness is so dominant.

Dark brown, almost black; steady beige head. Looks liquorish. Dry coffee and a bit alcohol. Full bodied, coffee, bit sweet, velvety, bit green paprikas. Long dry coffee aftertaste. Great brew!

Pitch black colour. Nice white head. Sticky froth. What a nice complex aroma. Aroma reminds roasted coffee beans, berries, caramel, cocoanibs. Caramel, dark chocolate, roasted cascara coffee beans, nuts. Some spices and roasted coffee again in the aftertaste. Very nice, complex, enjoyable, oily, heavy bodied, creamy incredible beer.

Wow, this is a sweet one. Masses of milk chocolate, cream, red berries, brown sugar... Big, thick, oily & boozy just as I like, but a bit on the sweet side for me, and not enough roasted character coming through.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Creamy mocha brown head. Black beer. Aromas of roast, sweets, mocha, coffee, sweets, toffee, nutty and light alcoholic. Flavours of coffee, roast, some milk and sweet notes (well balanced with the roast and), bitters, some nuts, caramel, lot of sugars, some mocha and chocolate. Aftertaste is sweet, bitter, roasty, light coffee and roast with a sweet creamy edge. Low carbo, creamy close to silky mouthfeel, close to full body. Interesting.
