375ml dark green bottle. Bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Espresso head blanketing the glassware. Body was black as pitch. Attractive aroma of roasted dark malts, hints of cocoa powder, and coffee. Well balanced flavour character of roasted malts, vanilla chocolate, liquorice, smoked wood, and dark fruit together with a lingering touch of chili to the finish. Full bodied. Very much appreciated (Tromsø 25.05.2015).

pours unclear dark brown with a very nice beige cap, good retentiom and lacing. sweet and smoky roastiness, smooth milk chocolate, fancy molasses, tingling chilies, sweet soy sauce, pepper. light-low carbonation, medium-full body - oily, sweet and smoky-lightly spicy finish. sweet but umami-ed fun.

Bottle. Black pour with super frothy tan foam. Aroma is meaty, leather, light smokiness, chilies. Taste is very sweet, tons of molasses, light chili heat but mostly just caramel toffee, chocolate, light chili heat. Palate is full bodied, light carbonation, quite sweet. Good.

Tasted from a bottle on bus ride back from Nepenthia, as the sun set... Black color, thin tan head. Bits of lace. Nice dark chocolate, roast malt in the nose. Little licorice in the flavor, pleasant mild chili finish. Bigger body. Good chewy texture. Lighter carbonation. Moderate-plus sweet, light to moderate bitter. Very mild heat on the end. Some dark fruit. Touch of cream. Very tasty.

Aroma is roast, chocolate, and peat smoked malt, earthy hops, licorice and prunes. Flavor is sweet and rich dark malt dominant, licorice, vanilla, light earthy hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and light carbonation.

Bottle. Stouty black pour with a big mocha head that settles nicely. Chocolate, coffee, pepper, bandaid, soil. Nice and creamy full body. Nice balance of acidity, bitterness and sweetness. Coffee and oaky finish together with chili. Spiciness is probably 2-3 out of 10. Nice balance but for people who enjoy spiciness, a bit more spiciness (and more body to balance the spiciness) would be better. But really nice beer

Fad: Kulsort let olieret øl med et lækkert mokkabrunt skumhoved. God duft af let røget malt, en smule chili og lakrids. Smagen er perfekt balanceret imellem lakridsen og chilien. Virkelig en lækker sag.

Black with moderate-brown (roasted marshmallow color) medium-fine, frothy 3cm head (beautiful). Moderate rate of decay. Aroma is coffee, nutella, dark toffee, bits of molasses, and a touch warm savory wood/slight smoke. Some cocoa. Light green pepper. Body is heavy-medium-heavy weight, syrupy, oily, starchy with fine, moderate carbonation, medium-line fine prickly burn. Flavor is chewy toffee, brown sugar, wood (lightly smoked), cold-brew light roast coffee, hazelnut. Not super-roast (more caramel). Pine. Overall; a great imperial stout in which the chile is understated, which is nice. It could definitely benefit from some bourbon barrel.

Black with tan head. Impressive head retention considering abv. Cherry, spice, smoke, vanilla and dark chocolate aroma. Full sticky palate. Sweet, smokey, chili and complex finish. Overall: sweet and nice. Well implemented chili.
