Dark fat smooth imperial stout brewed with Chipotle, Ancho and Guajillo chillies, that adds a smokyness and a bit of acidic spicyness to the big impy stout.

From bottle. Pours pitch black with a light brown foam. Aroma is chocolaty and fruity. The fruitiness is clearly from the chili, due to the peppery sting in the nostrils, not too strong, but very pleasant. The taste is chocolate, roasted malt, chili and smoke. The capsaicin from the chili gives a very nice subtle sting on the tongue. Very good!

37.5cl bottle served in a snifter. Aroma is ashy and earthy coffee with some heavy malt presence. Taste is wonderfully smooth with roast coffee grounds, vanilla, tobacco and a slightly ashtray notes. Complex and perfectly balanced with the heat of the chillies really adding another dimension to the taste profile and a nicely viscous mouthfeel adding to the marshmallowy sweetness. Not quite up their with the Bombs and Mexican Cakes of this world but a very accomplished Imperial Stout and a relative bargain.

Pours like motor oil black color, haze, with stable foamy light brown head. Visually low carbonation. Aroma: rich and intense aroma of dark malt, which takes on coffee, bittersweet dark chocolate, supported with hop aroma, which takes on dark and forest friuit, and with spicy aroma of chilli peppers. Flavor: rich and intense malt flavor, which takes on cocoa, cacao bean, espresso coffee, molasses, vanilla, supported with spicynes of chilli peppers, which actually takes more on smokyness, and with hop flavor in the background, which takes on dark forest fruits. Body is full, texture is very silky smooth, carbonation is low, alcohol warmth is very discrete and gentle. Taste is fistly very sweet, with sticky, slightly spicy, dry finish. Spiciness lingers long in aftertaste. Another very good imperial stout, made in Proef brewery.

Smoke and chocolate, with dark fruit on the aroma. This has a creamy mouthfeel, and a slight spice finish.

Shared 12.7 oz. green bottle poured to snifters, displaying a black/brown color, with a modest layer of brownish tan head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was roasted, cocoa, molasses, brown sugar sweetness, some woodiness, and light spice. Medium+ bodied, with soft carbonation, the taste was similar notes, continued sweetness, a medium, roasted bitterness with hints of pepper & chilies, finishing with a bit of tangy astringency. Complementary balance of notes with some hidden warmth.

Bottle. Pours black with a nice tan head with good lacing. Malty aroma of caramel, Chocolate and dried fruits. In the mouth aroma of first citrus and then smoke also comes thru. The flavours start sweet then Sour acidity and finish light bitter with a smokey aftertaste and alot of heat. Mild chili burn and light alcohol burn. The chili heat last a long time. Wow-good and explosiv beer.

Thick black with a thin brown head. Sweet aroma of vanilla, roasted malts and coffee. Taste gets even better, with the addition of chocolate fudge, licorice and the 3 types of chilli peppers used in the brewing. After a well balanced sticky-sweet-bitter first feeling, the chillies explode warming up the stomach and enhancing the after taste. Master piece.
