Dark fat smooth imperial stout brewed with Chipotle, Ancho and Guajillo chillies, that adds a smokyness and a bit of acidic spicyness to the big impy stout.

Pours black with a weak beige head. Aroma is of roasted toast, bread, caramel, coffee, and some chili pepper. First of all Id declare that Im not one for chili stouts, I dont think they improve the beer whatsoever, just takes over flavour, overall this felt like a really solid beer, but the chili weakens the rest of the taste for me. Taste was quite roasty, some chocolate, some bread, aftertaste of soy sauce and a kind of lingering burn that for me was just not comfortable, made it feel very dry.

Dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma is hot sauce, earthiness, soy sauce, tomato soup. Medium bodied, slightly roasty on the palate with a very umami finish and some spicy burn. Taste is chili, dark fruit, roasted malts.

1 pint on draft @ Ale & Hop Barcelona. Black with a semi-lasting thick off white foam. Smells like an imperial stout should but a bit on the alcoholic side. Taste is roasty, slightly coffee, very sweet. A bit too much for my taste. Not my cup of tea but my lovely girlfriend seems to like it.

Pours black with a dark than head. Nose shows coffee, cocoa, heavy bready malt, oatmeal and soft booze. Very aggressive, heavy-hitting flavours. Massive roast, ashy notes, slightly solventy booze and liquorice. The roast and booze threaten to overwhelm everything else though. Some very soft chilli heat. Nice creamy body.

Got the beer at Vinbin in Reykjavk. Aroma: strong hints of alcohol. Also hints of roasted coffee and chocolate. Very nice appearance. Pitch black with thick brownish head. some lacing. Taste is vanilla, some dark fruits and the chili kicks in at the end. Quite boosey. Overall a very nice beer, but not as great as some of the other imperial stouts that To l has made.

0.375 bottle, thanks hanniku! Aromas of ethanol, chili and wooden pencil. Taste of coffee, taste of chili (without burnt), ethanol, licorice and hint of smoke. Full body, soft carbonation, burning alcohol in the palate. Ethanol is quite dominating, points for real taste of chili without burning sensation.

Bottle. Black with a large good lasting light brown head. This is really sweet. Sugar, molasses, syrup, all things sugar. Some chilli heat finally kicks in, but the first five seconds or so is just syrup. Warming alcohol, white chocolate, coconut. Medium body, sticky texture, medium carbonation, sticky sweet finish. I used to like this, but damn it is sweet and sticky even though the alcohol and chilli lifts it a bit.

Pours dark brown with a brown head. Aroma is spicy, acidic, coffee and chocolate. Very malty. Taste is sweet with a spicy character, sticks to the back of your throat. Now I must say I am not big with spicy things, this one just gets a bit unpleasant. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

sort of a take on the pepper oriented stout, this one is somewhat smoky with just the faintest heat. pretty neat.
