McWorta (1136) - LUXEMBOURG - SEP 28, 2015
Black (>80EBC) with a brown light creamy lasting head with thick viscosity and good lacing. Aromas of vanilla, raisins, earthy-wood notes, sweet prunes and hints of wine aromas develop on the nose. The texture offers a light carbonation fading quickly into a solid slickness with a pronounced full body. Earthy sweetness with notes of raisin, liquorice, wood and some alcohol aromatic spice, chilli flavours develop. Complex beer with lasting chilli-roast finish.

Bottle. Deep black, tan head. In aroma and flavour roasty and fruity. Nice dark chocolate and vinous/oaky notes too. The beer is far less sweet than no barrel aged version. Roasty on the finish, medium body, creamy and smooth like most To Ol dark beer. Great beer, better than normal Liquid Confidence.

Bottle, shared with friends.
Deep dark as hell with a small creamy beige head.. Aroma of wood and overriped fruits, plum, raisins, molasses, burnt wood. Easier body than expected, very well hidden alcohol. Small bubbles brings us the huge comlpexity with a lurking chilli taste, overriped plum and fruits, wooden taste, flavor of molasses. dried-burnt grains.

Bottle shared with czar. Black pour with rich tan foam. Aroma is really good, light smoky chilies, roasty notes, bourbon, booze. Taste is sweet, much better integrated than the original though, light chili heat, dark chocolate, cocoa, light bourbon, vanilla, boozy finish. Palate is full bodied with light carbonation. Tasty stuff.

(Draught at Mikkeller and friends) jet black, medium tan bubbles with nice lacing. Nose of light smoke, umami, bitter dark chocolate, alcohol, spirit barrel, touch of graham cracker. Taste of sherry barrel, smoke, alcohol, dark chocolate, mildly bitter, medium carbonation and decently long palate finish.
