On tap at The Roundhouse Taproom Hong Kong. Got a free sample of it and came back for more later. Really nice aroma with chocolate, berries, sherry, whiskey. Very sweet taste. Notes of cashew nuts in there also. Like it a lot.

Bottle. Pours black with a nice medium brown head. Aromas of fruity coffee, cherries, vanilla, licorice, some roast. Taste is pretty heavy fruity coffee forward, good amount of roast, berry sweetness and some dry woody notes. Some licorice and vanilla. Full thick body with low carbonation.

Pours black with a dark brown head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, a bit of a wooden barrel note, dark dried fruits, weak sweet molasses, sweet chocolate and some weak fruity coffee notes. Taste of bitter coffee, roasted malts, sherry notes, wood, dark dried fruits, chocolate, spice and some alcoholic heat towards the end.

Bottle, expires 03.10.2023. Pours pitch black with a nice, fluffy, brown, but short lasting head. Aroma has some roasted, smooth, dark malts, caramel, slight butter, some wood, but no sherry. Maybe some dark, sweeter fruits. The taste, on the other hand, has more of the dry barrel character, some more sour-fruity cherries, nice roasty coffee-bitterness, that is well rounded off by the aging. Actually getting some sweeter, more boozy cherries as it warms up. Chillies are nowhere to be found. Maybe a hint of alcohol heat in the end. The body is nice and thick with a low carbonation.

Interesting beer. Light notes of sherry on the nose, with a pretty pronounced peppery character. Flavor is very, very spicy by "pepper stout" standards, with this spiciness dominating over the cocoa and even the barrel characteristics. It’s a pretty interesting take on the style but not something I’m dying to pay 12 bucks for again.

Bottle. Black beer, with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and some pepper. Rich taste of coffee and mocha, with a nice chilli afterburner. Sherry aging gives the beer an extra layer of fruity smoothness. Very good.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours dark blackish brown with a rather big frothy and creamy mocha head that leaves some spotty trace on the glass while slowly dissipating. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, dark bread, cocoa powder, sweetened coffee, minerals, soil and hints of smoked chili. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and tiny spicy with roasted malts, dark bread, burnt toast, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, Nutella, soil, sweet liquorice candy, burnt raisins, moist soil and hints of smoked peppers. Mouthfeel is soft, round, viscous, tiny roasted astringent, tiny spicy hot and near full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, slightly bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt toast, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, soil, smoked peppers, burnt raisins and hints of alcohol. Solid IS.
