330 ml bottle. Pours black with short dark tan head. Rich aromas of vanilla, dark red berries, oily coffee, and dark chocolate. Flavors of rich dark chocolate, kahlua, dark berries, liquorice, and heavily roasted malts. Quite warm but in a nice chocolate liqueur way. Most excellent.

Po przelaniu do szkła tworzy się nieduża, beżowa drobna piana z pięknym lejsingiem, trunek wyraźnie "łzawi" na ściankach tekku, barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta z nieśmiałymi refleksami. Aromat potężny - trufle w czekoladzie, wanilia, nuty drewniane, przypiekane, wędzona śliwka węgierka, migdały i rum. Cudowny, wielowymiarowy i bogaty! Goryczka konkretna, fajnie wpasowana w deserowy charakter piwa. W odczuciu pełne, gęste, oleiste, czuć aksamitność z płatków owsianych i charakterystyczną słodowość żyta. Nagazowanie niskie. Świetne piwo, wybitnie deserowe, degustacyjne, do powolnego sączenia w fotelu.

Pitch black with a beautiful brown head. Sweet, vanilla, alchool, cocoa aroma. Moderate bitterness with a long duration. Sweet, alchool, roasted malt flavor. A bit sharp. Bitter and burned wood aftertaste. Good!

(Draught at BrewDog Camden, London, 22 Apr 2015) Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of liquorice, espresso, dark chocolate and cacao. Malty, roasted taste with espresso, cacao, liquorice and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite a powerful imperial stout with some alcohol coming through at the end. Very nice.

On tap at Skuli Craft, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose is decadent, with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, some coffee and caramelized sugar. Flavour is really intense, with a mix of dark fruits, roasted malt, dry caramel and cocoa. So much going on in this one. The opposite of easy drinking - this is a really slow sipper. A decadent treat that is quite brutal. Not for the feont of heart. Very good slow sipper.

Keg at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush - London. Pours oily black with a dense, creamy brown head. The nose holds lots of dark malts, some creamy caramel, dark fruits, cocoa, hints of licorice. Hugely sweet flavor with lots of ripe dark fruit character, a bit of burnt wood, burnt toffee, earthy bitterness, gooey chocolate. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Finishes warming and sticky, with loads of burnt sugars, raisins, burnt wood, earth, dried berries, dark chocolate, faint ash. Quite a beastly number but still really tasty and dangerously drinkable.

Apr 2015 - Keg at Brewdog Cardiff as ’To Øl Long Time No See’, 12.8%. Black, small foamy dark brown head doesn’t endure. Aroma is strong coffee - espresso, touch of smoke, a little meaty. Smells a bit whisky-aged. Body is medium, smooth, tingly carbonation. Taste has more coffee, sweet toffee, surprisingly light malts and alcohol, some ash and floral hop, those plasticky square processed cheese slices. Worryingly drinkable. Outstanding stuff.
