3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured a funky shade of orange with a well-retained beige head. The aroma picked up Bretty funk, a blend of fruits, peppery alcohol, and a bit of mango with biscuity malt supporting.. came back to fruity funk on the back of the nose.. interesting. The flavor found tart fruit and floral notes on the tip of the tongue, with dry, Bretty fruits, white spices, and grassy bitterness behind.. finished bone dry and warm, showing some oxidation along with the funk. Medium-plus bodied, dry, and warm on the palate.. the wild yeast took over a bit too much for my liking, and didn’t let the hops work.. OK overall.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland. Pours a rich golden orange, small amount of off-white head. Aroma is simply heavenly, big blend of yeasty funk and pine. Tart, sour, funky, finish is a big mouthfeel, lively, so well balanced and complex. Warming creeps in just a bit as the beer warms. While this isn’t going to be something I would drink a ton of, it is really effing delicious, complex and rich on every level.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Bottle Shop Canterbury. Hazy reddish amber thin near white head. Strong bretty aroma. Hoppy yes but the brett dominates. Fullish in mouth not overly boozy. An interesting double ipa certainly. Its quite bretty then some belgian tripel over the top and then some hops. Ok combo. Characterful. Brett is a bit over dominant

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Beer temple. Pours cloudy orange with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, horse blanket, some gravy, grassy hops, grapefruit, very weird- a lot going on that normally wouldn’t be. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter lasting long into the finish, maybe a touch of umami. Full bodied with soft carbonation. A strange beer!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with little head. Aroma is an odd but pleasant mix of oniony hops and barnyard Brett. Taste is a funky maltiness, highlighting an aged citrus hop flavor, booze, and slight brett funk.. Very dark in the aftertaste, notes of figs and caramel really catch at the end. Complex, almost after dinner level.

Bottle at home from bottleshop
Pours dark hazy amber with fluffy white head and yeast floaties. Slightly sweaty feet funk alongside juicy pithy tangerine and sharp pineapple. Medium carbonation and body, lots of yeast esters, plenty of citrus, chalky mineral quality and ends dry. Quite warming but fairly well balanced between hops and malt.
