English: This beer is one of a kind. It is our good "old" To Øl/Mikkeller collab - Overall IIPA - fermented with wild yeast. The result is a dry hop bomb that has been balanced by the tart and funky wild yeast notes.
When we added the wild yeast the fermentation went out of control and made a 100% attenuation - leaving no left over sugar in the beer.

33cl bottle pours with a murky copper body that has gold hues and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up citrus hard candy, pink grapefruit, berry like fruitiness, spicy wood and then a pleasing earthy black tea note. In the background are green leaf, lime and sort of funk notes. The taste starts with berry and tangelo and then quickly sweet pink grapefruit joints in. To midway it gets sweeter with slippery malts and then heading toward some pine hop bitterness and mild earthy black tea. Cool brew with balance and all of flavors meld nicely. Damn! I love To Øl.

Pours an orange-golden color with a white head. Very malty nose. Nearly no hop character on the nose. Heavy mouthfeel. Flavor approximates the nose. Some coal stove hop character does emerge.

bottle, from pivni rozmantost. clear amber with a big but short-lived head; plenty of acidity in the aroma with suggestions of pickled garlic; flavours of dried apricots, molasses, old parchment and some lemon zest. pretty full-on and enjoyable

330ml bottle shared with jeevan. Pours hazy orange with a thick white head. Aromas are funky and sour, grapefruit and pine. Taste is sour and bitter. Dry finish. Exactly like an Orval/US IPA cross. Lovely.

Beautiful peach orange body with a perfect amount of foamy white head and lacing. Great aroma of citrus hops and berries as well as a magnificent funk, almost some manure on a barn floor. Taste is vinous, sweet, malty, some bitterness and sour. Fabulous and unique beer. A funky/sour IPA. Cool idea and worked magnificently.

So this is totally awesome. Pours a gorgeous pinkish/orange with sediment. Aromas are strong and sweet caramel malts followed quickly by a great funky, sour, oaky, grapefruit blast. Tastes just like it smells. Wild and funky, citrus, barn, malty. What a great little collaboration this is.

11.2oz bottle. Pours out a hazy dark gold topped with a white head. Nose is great sweet malty citrus and candy. Taste is as the nose with lots of sweetness belg yeast tons of malt and a citrus hop not. A grapefruit peal bitterness on the end. Wow I like this.

2013-10-30. Lightly hazy dark orange body with a modest beige head, second half of the bottle is much hazier and has some floaties. 3+ Aroma is alcoholic, hoppy and yeasty, mute hoppy citrus, very light yeasty funk to it, it has an Orval meets IPA sort of quality to it which I assume was the plan based on the name. Flavour is similar, warming alcohol, moderate bitterness throughout, light funk, moderate citrusy hops throughout wane and grow cyclically as you go. Lingering oily orange hops in the finish and alcohol. Leaves the mouth tingly. Smooth medium bodied palate has moderate carbonation. 3+ Pretty nice, the alcohol is just a touch too prominent for my tastes though. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo

12 ounce bottle
This would have been excellent even if it had not been a freebie. Lately I have been staying away from Mikkeller beers only because I have such a backlog of ones to rate already. However the labeling and description made this one too impossible to pass up. If you’re inclined to spend a little more on an imperial IPA buy a fresh bottle.

Aroma / Appearance - A warm bronze base shimmers with life as the sticky legs crawl down the sides. Equal parts malt and hop it smells of sticky pine sap. Orange glaze spread over a fresh piece of cheesecake brightens the air like recently polished hardwood floors.

Flavor / Palate - Orange polish, cheesecake, and a delayed release of bitterness opens with a bang. It doesn’t have the same urgency of a beer like Dreadnaught but maybe that has to do with the trip over the ocean. This might have been a better crisper when more fresh; by the time I got to sample the bottle it was more like a new barleywine. Whatever it is the result is a top notch dessert beer.
