4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Japalo (730) - DENMARK - JUN 5, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 1, 2012 Bottle. Golden. Very small head. Golden clear. Horsestable aromas combined with oak, leather and sweat. Hoppy aromas underneath. Heavy body with balanced dry-sweetness. A fantastic surrealistic brew. Hybrid like the black balls. I Have to taste it again to get more impressions. Back for a new tasting. Only one word magnifique. Probably the best brew in the World ;)

Bought @Johnny's off-license in Roma, tasted in the streets.
Smells like hell! Even from a half of a meter, aroma is just soo intense and complex.
An incredible taste, the level of sourness isnt high and suits perfectly to the standard dipa character.

Cloudy orange color with small white head. Aroma of pine, orange, passion fruit, bananas. Taste is sweet, fruity, with light bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. I have to say that this is quite nice.

Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland. Pours a rich golden orange, small amount of off-white head. Aroma is simply heavenly, big blend of yeasty funk and pine. Tart, sour, funky, finish is a big mouthfeel, lively, so well balanced and complex. Warming creeps in just a bit as the beer warms. While this isn’t going to be something I would drink a ton of, it is really effing delicious, complex and rich on every level.
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Cybercat (2447) - Georgia, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Strong, hoppy aroma has good malty and yeasty notes, plus a fruity underpinning. Pours a dark, clear, bubbly amber with a thick and rather persistent ivory head. Rich flavor fills the mouth with hops, malt, yeast, a little fruit, a hint of syrup - and a noticeable, though not fierce, alcohol bite. Yes, definitely tart and funky! Firm texture has a good ragged fizz, leaving a hoppy, fruity, subtly yeasty and satisfying finish. Ov-ral, fabulous!

Tap @ CBC, 2012.
[my 8,500th rating]
Pours clear golden amber with a small, creamy, white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, funky, softly lactic, peach, grapefruit, red apples. A lot is going on here, but everything is so well integrated. Medium carbonation, lovely dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is so lovely, peach, apples, funky, light vinious, grapefruit, warming. So sweet, so funky, so bitter. Definately the best beer of the festival (Friday).
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Lowenbrau (997) - Asturias, Oviedo, SPAIN - JUL 18, 2012
330ml bottle. Subtle sour aromas, along with sweet and smoked ones, really aromatic. Pours hazy pale orange, with a nice creamy white head, persistent, good lacing. Medium body and average carbonation, with an oily texture. Taste is not as sour as may be thought from the smell, a very good balanced of yeast work, malt and alcohol (not very noticeable for being 10,5% abv). Reminds me a lot to Orval but using Bretts. Again, the danish did it. Really amazing beer.

Bottle at MikkellerOffice - Thanks. Clear amber - white head. Nice bitterness. Fruity. High fruity. Lovely bretty aroma. Light malty sweetness. Ok hoppy - but a lot of it disappears in the bertt. Lovely - I love brett.

Colour of clear copper. White head. Aroma of caramel, pines and exotic fruits. I can spot mango and passionfruit. Flavour is bitter, sour, acidic, fruity and piny. Full bodied and good looking beer.

Fad: Gul klar øl. Fantastisk duft. Bretten træder tydelig frem men humlen er stadig dominerende. God mundfylde og alkoholen kan bestemt anes, men den fungerer upåklageligt. Fin fin øl.
