English: English: Overall IIPA is - as the name denotes - an Imperial India Pale Ale created in close collaboration between To Øl and our good friends from Mikkeller. The mission was to create a hommage to the American beerculture, where beers needs to have flavour, taste and style, contrary to the urine-colored pseudo beer that we often drink in Denmark!
By first draught Overall IIPA has a sligthly caramelized malt profile, which gives you time to rest before your tastebuds are bombarded by a plethora of hop sensations, giving you hints of pines, citrus and grape. These are just barely harnessed by the sweetness of the alcohol. You suddenly realise that Overall IIPA is "overall" in your mouth and that drinking is living. For a short while you forget your tax-payments, work and the dishes. You relax and your shoulders drop down a couple of inches. You get carried away in a dream before you realise that your glass is empty and you need another one! Cheers!
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, flaked oats, hops (Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial) and yeast.

Draft at Ørsted Ølbar. Copenhagen, March 2012.
Pours dark orange, creamy off-white head. Aromas of tropical fruits, heavy malt body behind it with notes of caramels and candy. Quite hoppy as well. The body is big and rich with loads of malt and a pleasant bitterness. Notes of red berries.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a hazy burnt orange colcor with a two finger white head that quickly fades to light lacing. Smells of heavy pine and citrus hops. Pretty pungent. Tastes malty sweet upfront followed by a lasting bitterness. Tastes fruity but with a big malt character. The hop presense is not as big in the taste as it is in the smell. Mouthfeel is a light to medium with lots of carbonation.

Hazy orange colored pour. Small off-white head. Not much lacing. A hoppy aroma, some citrus notes, little bit of butterscotch. Same with the taste. Bitter front, middle, and back. Slightly carbonic. Little bit of malt in the flavor as well, but not much to balance the hops out. Slight chalkiness. Pretty decent beer overall though. (haha, overall)

Medium, dense, lightly yellowish coloured head over hazy orange-ochre beer. Cat’s pee, blackcurrant leaf, passion fruit. Rather catty hops, definitely, even a bit of human sweat. Yet, Overall it’s quite, and mainly, fruity. Very bitter, with hops, citrus, citruspeel, but also arachide, peanuts. Some fatty acids? (@ De Proef???) Woodbark, and a peppery finish. Cattiness all but gone in the mouth, but also much less fruity than the nose. Sharp MF, quite carbonated, medium bodied and very slick, but a tad agressive. Another one that, let’s be honest, is pretty unidimensional, Overall...

It has glowing, hazy, cloudy orange. This beer is huge on taste and aroma. As soon as you pour this beer a grapefruit and citrus aroma blasts the nostrils. I had this beer a good 5 feet away from me and I could smell it. Overpowering taste of grapefruit. Citrus and pine follow but damn grapefruit dominates in a way that I’ve never quite got from any other IPA. I enjoyed it a lot.

Bottle purchased at "The Village Beer Merchant" in Buffalo. Pours a hazy/ cloudy orange, huge white head that is quite active, leaves a lot of spiderweb lacing behind. Aroma is super citrus, grapefruit, orange, peach, a bit of hops. Tastes bitter there’s no question about that. The bitterness hit the roof of your mouth even. Tastes sweet as well and soft/ smooth in the mouth and on the tongue. Still some citrus in there, but more like lemon zest. You don’t have to threaten me with a Mikkeller brew, always comes through tasting awesome.

11.2 oz. bottle. # on the cap: 7641102. A muddy rust-colored pour with a smallish beige head. A musky aroma featuring plenty of grapefruits, citrus rinds, pine, toffee, caramel, and some herbaceousness. Goes down thick, full-bodied, and creamy. Rich caramel maltiness, toffee, and some spice upfront in the taste. Kinda bready. Hints of cream and honey. Grapefruits and orange juice at the end. The alcohol is well-hidden (aside from a little warmth), but packed a punch by the end.

The nose is full of citrus and it pours foggy (like any good Mikkeller IPA). Plenty of flavour and surprisingly little bitterness for the alcohol content. But if it’s bitterness you’re after, try the 1000 IBU. Very flavorsome IPA. Keep up the good work Mikkeller.

11.2 oz bottle. Cloudy olive orange with a big bubbled white head. Nose is musky toffee, grass, citrus and dough. Chalky, resiny, syrupy with a brisk buzz helping to cut through the heavy body. Taste is candi, grapefruit, pineapple, vanilla, pine and maybe some coconut. Huge, over the top IIPA. Might turn off some folks but OK for me.
