3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours hazy peach with a transient creamy off-white head. Aroma is almost slightly old cat pee- but lets call it over-heated citrus. Flavor is floral, cooked light stone fruit, and citrus. It is nicely bitter and extremely pleasing.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours cloudy blonde with a modest off-white head and a funky fruit aroma. There is a slightlly sour caramel malt flavor with a lot of fruitiness and a bitter finish. A very nice version of DIPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle picked up at StateLine.... Poured into a snifter... cloudy orange color. Taste good! Kind of a fruity DIPA.... Citrus, mango, pineapple, light pine notes, grass, musty. On the sweet side. Lots of stuff going on here. Very enjoyable. Texture is on the heavier/thicker side. Alcohol isnt noticable but it warmed me up quickly. Overall: Overall is a good DIPA from my favorite euro brewery! (I am biased... love mikkeller brews!) Another thanks to matt from stateline for picking this out!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The pour is a murky, orangey, honey color with an off-white, creamy, fluffy, full head which is mostly lasting and leaves soapy lace. The nose is very nice with loads of citrus and other fruit (passion fruit, ruby red grapefruit, peach), rustic, floral, and some resins. The flavor is similar peach, passion fruit, tangerine, more rustic, still floral, slight spice, slight undertones of dry caramel, and a nearly high bitterness. The palate is nearly full, nearly lively, velvety, and oily. The beer finishes very long with a bit of spicy warmth, drying slightly, and notes of resin, floral, dry caramel, and tangerine. Not sure why this has so many low ratings? The hopping was aggressive but never over-the-top or overdone. The citrus and fruit was incredible, and the malts were subtle but complemented the hop flavors well. The warmth seemed misplaced at first but actually added another complementary aspect with the spicy nature. Pretty much what I have come to expect from Mikkeller.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2 oz bottle from EZ. Poured an ugly milky hazy straw body underneath a large foamy off white head. Aroma started off with a burst of yellow grapefruit and some underlying caramel, after awhile tropical fruits and pineapple began to emerge along with toffee, bread and some alcohol. Body is fuller and dry with a touch of warning from the alcohol and soft carbonation. Flavor of citrus rind, dry hops, cereal grains, alcohol and some dried out caramel and toffee. Pretty solid but not worth the big price tag that Mikkeller beers get.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a nice hazy orange. Lots of orange, pineapple, grapefruit. Strong malt backbone. Malt is kind of sticky but the flavor is all hops. Tons of tropical fruit, pineapple, candy, mango. Astringent bitterness turns right into a blast of tropical fruit flavor. This beer has some serious hop notes going on. I can only imagine what it would have tasted like had it been completely fresh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy golden orange with a smallish white head that sticks stubbornly to the glass and leaves spotty lacing.
The aroma is very sticky sweet with pithy grapefruit and pineapple dominating the nose. Mandarin oranges and some sweet caramel malts.
Massive lemon and pineapple sweetness up front, with oranges and grapefruit as well. Just a big sweet fruit cocktail flavor. Sweet sugary malts underneath but the finish is juicy as hell.
The mouthfeel is sticky sweet with soft carbonation and bitter with citrus hops, though it’s more sweet than bitter.
In case you haven’t noticed from my review, this is a seriously citrus-heavy DIPA that’s not exactly drinkable but it’s full of bold flavors and I kinda dig it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy deep orange pour with a two finger fluffy white head. Stuck around and left lace all over the glass. Aroma was packed with big piney, fruity hops. Almost feel the hop oils. Flavors were just as piney, some fruit and just a tinge of malty sweetness. Quite bizarre given the booze in this brew. I didn’t taste or smell any. Mouthfeel was medium to full, carbonation lax. Nice lingering bitterness on this one, lasted but nothing overly bitter here. Very nice. Impressive double.
