English: English: Overall IIPA is - as the name denotes - an Imperial India Pale Ale created in close collaboration between To Øl and our good friends from Mikkeller. The mission was to create a hommage to the American beerculture, where beers needs to have flavour, taste and style, contrary to the urine-colored pseudo beer that we often drink in Denmark!
By first draught Overall IIPA has a sligthly caramelized malt profile, which gives you time to rest before your tastebuds are bombarded by a plethora of hop sensations, giving you hints of pines, citrus and grape. These are just barely harnessed by the sweetness of the alcohol. You suddenly realise that Overall IIPA is "overall" in your mouth and that drinking is living. For a short while you forget your tax-payments, work and the dishes. You relax and your shoulders drop down a couple of inches. You get carried away in a dream before you realise that your glass is empty and you need another one! Cheers!
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, flaked oats, hops (Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial) and yeast.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a smallish white head that sticks stubbornly to the glass and leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is very sticky sweet with pithy grapefruit and pineapple dominating the nose. Mandarin oranges and some sweet caramel malts. Massive lemon and pineapple sweetness up front, with oranges and grapefruit as well. Just a big sweet fruit cocktail flavor. Sweet sugary malts underneath but the finish is juicy as hell. The mouthfeel is sticky sweet with soft carbonation and bitter with citrus hops, though it’s more sweet than bitter. In case you haven’t noticed from my review, this is a seriously citrus-heavy DIPA that’s not exactly drinkable but it’s full of bold flavors and I kinda dig it.

Hazy deep orange pour with a two finger fluffy white head. Stuck around and left lace all over the glass. Aroma was packed with big piney, fruity hops. Almost feel the hop oils. Flavors were just as piney, some fruit and just a tinge of malty sweetness. Quite bizarre given the booze in this brew. I didn’t taste or smell any. Mouthfeel was medium to full, carbonation lax. Nice lingering bitterness on this one, lasted but nothing overly bitter here. Very nice. Impressive double.

En fullmatad dubbelipa. Massor av malt och humle i bra balans med varandra. Doft av marmeladkok på grape och tropisk frukt. Maffigt! Vätskan är tjockt sirapsaktig och lite grumlig. Men 408 IBU?

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Gustav Adolfs Torg, Malmö. Hazy pale amber, rich firm head, Aroma of canteloupe and grapefruit. Sweet and caramelly, heavily boozy with abrupt vodka flavour. The hops are lost in a sea of caramel. Malt liquor deluxe?

It’s unclear, dark orange with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of oranges and other citrus, peach – lots of peach. The flavour is sweet and has lots of fruity notes, primarily a lot of peach, but also oranges and other citrus, pineapple, papaya and a light bitterness – it’s a really fantastic, tasteful, aromatic and harmonic DIPA!!

Bottle from Barley Wine, Copenhagen. Poured a hazy orange colour with a generous off white head. Piney resin sodden hop agogo in the nose with the addition of tropical fruit and sweet malts. The flavour followed suit and was bloody tasty with it. Glorious fruity notes allowed this to holler ’drink me now !’ loudly from the glass. ABV supremely well masked. An all round top notch DIPA guvnor.

On tap at Mikkeller bar during Humlehelvede last december. This is why I drink beer! Never heard of To Øl before that night, but the bartender gives me one while we’re talking beers, and I’m in love. with the beer, not the bartender. Color is goldern, clear, with a large white head. Fruity aroma with plenty of citrus, flowers, herbs. taste of many fruits (admittedly I was too drunk to single out which), with caramel. The beer is 10,5% but you’d never guess from the taste. beatufully hidden alcohol. This is just awesome, and I hope to get a chance to drink it again!

330 ml bottle. Dim orange body with a thin off-white head. Strong fruity aroma with grapefruit, pine and some caramel. Flavor has a well balanced malt base with high bitterness and lots of citric fruits. Medium body. Nice and quite straightforward double IPA with well-hidden alcohol. Nice.
