3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Temperature is crucial here. I had this cold, and it wasn’t as good as room temperature. These ratings are for a bottle served at 10-12c
Lots of coffee aroma on opening. Pours a strange murky orange. Large head. Really strong taste of coffee, giving way to a strong hit of hops and alcohol. Lots of flavors going on - but they come together nicely.
Interesting beer. Not an everyday one, but certainly a "weekender".

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2oz bottle in a snifter. Pours cloudy amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of coffee followed by a good amount of citrusy and floral hops plus a good amount of caramel malts. The flavor of the coffee and hops go better than expected, but more malts might help bridge the gap. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very quality. Funky aroma that reminds me of stale food -- not that that is a bad thing. Taste: nice taste of hops and coffee, hence the name of the beer. However, now that I have that smell of stale food, the taste is messing with me a little -- so I took some point of on that. I love the high carbonation, the lack of alcohol taste with its high content and the hops sticking around in the aftertaste. It has some malt-esque sweetness sticking around too. Overall nice beer, if I didn’t spend time analyzing the smell, I would have liked it more.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sweet, hoppy with slight coffee aroma. Cloudy, with minimal white head. Total shocker on this one. Didn’t really trust coffee + IPA, but this one was something else. In all reality, this beer fits more into a barley wine in my opinion. Medium body and texture with a slight bitter finish. Totally impressed with this, but again, drank more like a barley wine than an ipa.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle. Hazy, hazelnut color. Off white head appears, partially fizzy, partially moldy. Good lacing. Moldy, coffee extract, dusty, hops in aroma. Coffee powder, fruity hops, dusty, papery flavor. Dry, sharp bitterness in aftertaste. Messy taste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle. amber, orange pour.minimal head, small consistent bubbles. Aroma is a battle of conflicting citrus hops & coffee. pretty strange combo. Strangeness continues into the flavor. Coffee vs citrusy hops. Underlying fruitiness. Coffee is overpowering upfront, hops start battling mid palate. The strange/unique flavor makes you forget its 11%. Worth trying

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours very hazy dark orange with a creamy fizzy beige head. Aroma has lots of coffee. Med body. Flavors of light pitted fruit with coffee. Strong flavors, but comes across quite mellow. Refreshing even.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours orange copper with a rich beige head and a coffee and citrus aroma. There is a nice fruity and coffee flavor with a warm alcohol finish. It all goes together real well.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2oz bottle. Best by on the cap appears to read 8/3/14. Airy tan head that quickly fades. Bubbles on the side of the glass. Little dots of lace. Totally hazy amber color. This is my first Coffee IPA, so I don’t know how they’re typically done, but this has an impressively big coffee aroma. Some earthy hops. Light bitter, light alcohol bite. Smooth lighter carbonation, but something is holding it back from being drinkable. Maybe it’s the spicy note, or the intense coffee flavor, or the exceedingly dry texture. Anyway, the brew does get noticeably smoother after it’s had a chance to sit for a while. Herbal, floral hop profile. Some orange. Very interesting brew. Even when they’re not entirely fantastic, creative brews like this always hold my attention

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours a very translucent brown orange. not even cloudy, looks more like a jar candle than liquid. Aroma has a very earthy malt with a bit of citrius. Taste has a slight hoppy IPA with a bit sour and burnt stale coffee. Not a big fan or this one.
