COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: The sequel to the Mikkeller/To Øl collab "Overall IIPA". The same beer but with tons of nice nutty aromatic espresso coffee. This is hybrid beer if ever seen one. The combination of fruits and citrus from the hops and the round coffee aromas plus the warmth of the alcohol makes this a clash of a IIPA, Black IPA, American strong and Barley Wine. Cheers!

Bottle thanks to Alemax. Pours a dark copper, hazy with pillowy off white head. Great retention and some thin lacing. Aroma is roasted, espresso, with a pleasant citrus, hoppy background. Flavor is equally well balanced, nice roasted coffee tones up front with a mellow hop, bitter finish, mildly resinous. Nice that neither the coffee nor hops have drown out the other. Alcohol is very well hidden as expected with such a bold flavor profile. Moderate carbonation and medium body. Was weary of the combination of styles, but this is truly well done. Very enjoyable, rich, intense and interesting.

Strong, hoppy aroma has a decided coffee overtone - quality coffee, that is, not the slop you get at the office. Pours a very appetizing dark honey golden that is hazy to the point of being barely translucent, with a thick and fluffy, though not too persistent, wheat head. Hoppy flavor has firm coffee and orange notes with more than a hint of chocolate. The best of both a great IPA and a great stout! My taste buds are dancing with joy. Firm, smooth texture has a decent, if not large, amount of fizz. A hybrid beer? How about calling it Prius? ;)

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, quite floral, coffee (but only week, like smelling a used coffee filter), light roast. Lots of coffee in the flavour. Compared to the smell, you get a real coffee explosion. Quite bitter, both coffee and hops. Finish coffee and coffee bitterness.
Quaint beer, nice though!
(From 33cL bottle shared @ ZZT VII, Oirschot. And thanks for bringing it from Denmark for me, Rene!)

33cl bottle. Pours orange-brown with medium white frothy head, looks good. The aroma is a blend of citrus and coffee with hints of sugar. Lovely taste, even better that the aroma: really nice coffee grains along with pine notes. Medium to sharp bitterness, without masking the sweet malty character. No alcohol at all, and it’s 10,5%! The mouthfeel is medium, carbonation just perfect. Excellent cofee IPA.

Bottle @ ZZT VII, thx to everyone for sharing their bottles. Aroma of coffee, hops. Biscuity coffee in taste. Very bitter and dry. Strange but nice.

Bottle shared by Martinus @ ZZT VII. Hazy murky orange color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lots of coffee, some hops but no, I don’t really like it.

Bottle @ ZZT7 thx to martinus. Very hazy to redish colour, small beige head. Smells a lot like fresh coffee, hops, roasty. Tastes coffee, roasty, bitter, fresh, fruity, sourish. Medium body, nice carbo.

Tasted at ZZT 7 thanks to Martinus. Pours hazy orange with an off white head. Aroma of coffee, caramel malt, nuts, citrus, fruit. Flavor is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium bodied with light carbonation. Weird but good!

Bottle on the way to cph beer festival, 25/5 2013. Opaque orange, with a small off white head. Some lacing. Aroma of cold coffee, piney/citrus hop notes, some malt sweetness. A lot of coffee in the taste, with some citrus from the hops. Nice body. Bitter aftertaste. Pleasant mouth feel.
