375 ml. bottle poured in to a snifter. Dark, hazy amber colour with a dense, lightly tan head. Extra credits for the label/name and the Winston Churchill quote on the back label. Sweet aroma with rich caramel malts, dark, dried fruits, blue cheese, spicy and citrus hops. Taste is medium to heavy sweet. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes bitter with hops, rich caramel malts and a discrete burn from alcohol. Fine Barley Wine the American way.

12.7oz bottle, shared with caterwaul. Purchased from Party Source around 6 months ago. Cap reads "9851206". Mostly hazy amber, red color. Thin khaki head. Decent spread of lace. Bigger body. Smooth, kind of creamy lighter carbonation. Sort of slick, little drying in the finish. Smooth and easy drinking, especially for 12.5%. Alcohol is well-hidden, just a slight warmth in the finish. Moderate sweet, light bitter. Dark fruit, vinous notes. Good earthy hop. Extra points for being so smooth, for the high ABV.

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. I think that I had “Our is bigger than all of your” which I am assuming is the same beer as this one, if I am wrong let me know. Dark fox rhubarb brown, white bubbles. Nose is sweet malts, sticky raspberry, bit jam, toffee, thick marmalade, sweet spices, candy sugar,… Taste is thick raspberry, syrupy, alcoholic raspberry sticky, touch booze, candy sugar, thick caramel, very sticky malts, dark fruits, touch molasses,… Thick, sticky malt body. Great stuff.

37.5 cl bottle @ home. Pours reddish amber with quite a bit of sediment and an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, caramel, candy sugar, and dried fruit. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a dry finish.

On tap. Pours a hazy brown with light head. Aromas of marmalade and brown sugar. Flavors of nectarines, toffee, toasted malts, and light pine. Fruity. Excellent.

Alltså det här var ju gott men jag är övertygad om att den hade varit godare om den fått stå på hyllan ett år. Smaken är lite spretig med toner av karamell och aprikos och jag upplever ölen som något obalanserad.

Hazy amber - brown beer. Big pale cream coloured head. Nose of orange liqueur and marmalade! Palate is soft. Airy creamy malt, slightly dry. Taste follows the nose with orange liqueur and marmalade. Finishes semi dry with mild orange bitterness. A luxuriant and unusual barley wine.
