"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Amber color with a lot of orange aromas. Its very tingling and filled with tasty fruit. Thats the way all pilsners should be.

Small bottle. Bright amber body with a tall white head. Lots of tropical hops in the aroma... a few sniffs and you’ll know this is going to taste nothing like a lager. Yup. Tastes like an APA with tropical hops. You might be disappointed if you really craved for a proper lager - it’s a lager only in theory.

Clean golden color with medium white head. Hoppy fruity aroma with mostly citrus, pine and floral notes. Taste is similar, dry and crispy with hoppy bitter finish and long grassy aftertaste. Medium body and fizzy carbonation. Very nice for a lager.

200ml draught at Mikkeller & Friends. Patchy surface and spotty lacework. Near-clear, dark apricot coloured body. Nose is herbal dry added by a fresh citrus touch. Tropical fruits and citrus peels joined by malty sweetness beneath. Rounded bitter ending, mid-dry. Nice (Copenhagen, 22.03.2013).

This cannot be lager. I have drank lots and lots of lager and nothing near as good as this. Amber pour with a frothy white head. Aromas of malt, hops, grapefruit, pine, grass, mandarin, caramel. Classic PA aromas. Refreshing, slightly tart and sweet. Bags of flavour from citrus, caramel, malt and hops. Delicious. Not a lager.

(bottle 22/03-2013) large lasting white head, clear orange color, hoppy aroma, soft co2, light bitter, good hoppy taste. Good summer beer, GAF. BB date 17/04/2014.

Tasted from the bottle, on 12/12/2012. Pours of muddy bright amber color. Aroma is quite intense, sweet fruits and a tiny hint of caramel. Taste is excellent, no way i can call it a lager! Tons of citrus&grapefruit notes, packed with pines and fresh grass. Aftertaste is a heck bitter.

33cl bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Hazy amber with a thin white head. Nelson sauvin aroma. Tough to say if this is a lager or not. Lots of NS all over it and then trademark sweaty sox comes in at the end. I mean it’s a nice drinkable beer. some of the NS is very good. I must have liked it though cos it disappeared in 5 minutes.

En trevlig törstsläkare. Välbalanserad med smak och doft av citrus och tropisk frukt. Lätt kropp, lagom beska och kolsyra med en lättsam beska.

This is what I look for in an easy drinking beer! gooseberries from NS and grapefruit (centennial) feature big on the nose. Tangerine juice and grapey goodness, light carbonation medium body, sweet malt balance. Very easy drinking for its relatively high ABV, no sign of any alcohol.
