"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is <em>the</em> lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Growler. Rose gold with a white head that lasts well. Grapefruit, lychees, passionfruit flowers, some grain. Taste is mainly tingly hop aromatics, but there’s some clean grainy sweetness under there too (rather more would have worked for me). Bitterness is firm and the finish is dry. Hoped for a really good lager but just got more hops. Balance improved a bit as it warmed to 10-11C. The hops are fine enough to make it a nice dog in the manger.

Slowbeer ontap (14-Jun-13) - Big fruit floral spice hop aroma. Red amber colour, good white beige head and ringed lacing. Big floral pine spice fruit flavour. Bitter floral hop finish and spice floral pineapple fruit aftertaste.

In bottle. Smells like peach, grapes, steamy wood, and pine. Tastes quite bitter and fibrous. Perhaps a hint of green bell pepper. Classified as a lager, but looks like a pale ale. Surprising beer!

Aroman var fantastisk för att vara en lager. Väldigt fruktig ! Smaken var mycket bättre än en vanlig lager, litengödsel.

thick yellow-beige head, foam head with lacing. straw-yellow orange clear colour. very pleasant fruity aroma, apricot, lychee, passion fruit, mango, a sweet note and hoppy. very fruity taste just like the aroma hints at followed by a long bitter aftertate. medium carbonation and very good body given the low abv. this is just great stuff! bottle 33 cl

Aroma: citrus and herbs -- fabulous. Appearance: hazy orange, nice head. Taste: resin, herbs, balanced - almost excelent. Palate: light carbonation and light body. Very drinkable. Overall: I rate this beer as lager, and it was absolutely outstanding and incredible beer. Very hoppy, well balanced, very drinkable, great aroma. Full recommendation!

Lager de color ámbar con una turbieza media. La espuma, densa y con un color crema claro, es muy persistente. Los aromas son lupulados, frescos a resinas y cítricos. En boca es ligera con un final amargo equilibrado y persistente. Excelente.

Sampled from the tap at Orested Ölbar. Pours a hazy gold, with light carbonation. Grassy hops in the aroma, with a taste to match. Surprisingly it’s a pils, not an IPA

Draft at Olsted Olbar. Pours hazy amber with a small off white head. Aroma of light citrus, grapefruit and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. More like a pale ale, amazing for the style!

Keg@Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - Amber pour with light head and persistent lacing. Citrus hops and herbal notes dominate with a bitter finish, refreshingly good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
