COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Bottle. Hazy deep golden color with a foamy head. Aroma of fruity hops with some yeast. Medium bitter taste. Lively carbonation. One of the best lagers I’ve had.

garthicus (2655) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUL 12, 2013
Bottle: Appearance: golden orange, huge white head. Aroma: cat piss! Hoppy as hell, so much citrus. Smells wonderful. Flavour: cat piss again, orange peel oil, so bitter, kind of a copper note to it, tastes boozy but isn’t, huge hoppy mouthfeel. Long pine and citrus finish. Lovely.

Pours amber with a small head. Floral and fruity hops in the aroma, lots of peach and orange blossom. Some soft sweet malt too. Very hoppy, aggressive flavours. Lots more floral and fruity hops. Very bold, sharp bitterness, with little supporting sweet malt. Carbonation seems a bit full-on.

Good scent. Taste is no lagers can I say. It is good and closer to an IPA instead. The aftertaste is good and decent length. Follow me @ Kung av öl / King of Beer @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Growler. Rose gold with a white head that lasts well. Grapefruit, lychees, passionfruit flowers, some grain. Taste is mainly tingly hop aromatics, but there’s some clean grainy sweetness under there too (rather more would have worked for me). Bitterness is firm and the finish is dry. Hoped for a really good lager but just got more hops. Balance improved a bit as it warmed to 10-11C. The hops are fine enough to make it a nice dog in the manger.
