"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Bottle. Hazy orange, lasting white head. Fruity hop aroma, sweet malts. Peachy stonefruit hop character, excoriating bitterness. Too bitter for a lager, even for a pilsner, and the sweet malts are unwelcome if this is truly the style that was aimed for. It’s one thing to call out lagers for being pissy and dull, but it’s a whole other thing to miss the mark on a style so completely as to be unidentifiable.

Sweet fruity flavour of grapefruit, peach, malt and grass with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent lager. World class.

Ambar, miel. Bonita espuma poco duradera. Aroma…. ¿lager?

Bottle. Orange with big, densed, white head. Medium head retention and lacing. Light to medium citrus and piney aroma, light fruity. Taste is medium bitter, which is short and appears from the beggining. Medium malty character, earthy and malty aftertaste. Medium body, smooth texture, medium to high carbonation, finish is malty with very short hoppy bitterness. In general refreshing, enjoyable beer. Not the best in it’s style.

An orange beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is strongly tropical, mangos, papaiyas, nice fructose and some pine needles, hint of black currants. Taste has black currants pine needles and citrusfruits, medium bitterness. Nicely smooth as lager, medium bodied. Succesfully hoppyness is dominating this beer.
