3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thnx to Beerlover_ben . Opened ( in all honousty ) not withoud any expectations . Highly approved by both Ben and Vincent , so i guess this should be the shit ..
Pours full amber , with a good white head . Smell is hoppy, very aromatic yet not really bitter . Taste is bitter ( no extremes ) , corn-like maltyness . Hoparoma is there, but I guess it faded since it was originally bought . Good carbonation and regular mouthfeel . Full in taste , still , yet perhaps not as good as it once was . Plus I also feel like this isnt so innovative, loads of breweries now do low ABV ( either high or low fermentation ) with a lot of hops . So , its not THAT out of the ordinary for me .
Yet for what its worth , mission accomplished, they made a very nice lager . just needs that little extra to really be up there as one of the ( or the ? ) best lager .

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at BD ShepBush. Clear burnished gold, head recedes gently. Nose of citric and resinous hops. Tastes light sweet, medium full bitter, more bitter orange, grapefruit, resin. Very dry, light body, can feel that this is over 5% though. Oily, medium carb, lingering resinous bitter. Not like any traditional pilsner for sure, but very nice.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Review based on personal notes (doesnt fit BJCP styles - base beer: lager). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: high notes of floral and fruity aromas, reminiscent of passion fruit, mango, peaches and pine. no malt aromas or very faint. APPEARANCE: orangish color and a bit hazy. average moussy and ivory head with good retention. TASTE: notes of passion fruit, pine, and resin. high bitterness that lingers well beyond a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an experimental lager with high bitterness and overwhelming hop presence.

Golden color. Some citrus, but bandaid character takes over. Watery mouth. Sweet malty. Not sure if it is in great condition.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a light, hazy yellow, aroma of citrus and hops. Very hoppy flavour, hints of grapefruit and some malts. Had a pilsner characteristic to it which made this beer quite unique.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of fruits, grapefruit, grass, fresh hops. Flavour is light sweet with a nicely bitter finish. Simply great beer, I wish this was the standard for widely available Lagers.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours hazy pale amber with one finger of pillowy dense off-white head, excellent retention and heavy, chunky lacing. (4/5) Nose is citrus, piney dank resin, musk, caramel malt. (9/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (8/10) Medium body, soft carbonation, mild bitter finish. (4/5)
So, what did you do tonight? Oh, just had the BEST PILSNER EVER. Lovely hoppy lager - in this case, a pilsner - that has about as much relationship to fizzy yellow adjunct garbage as chalk to cheese. Getting more of the Centennial and Citra citrus, and Simcoe west coast dank, than the Nelson Sauvin (my new favourite hop!) vinous character, but very nice regardless. Decently complex and layered, with lots of character. (Gee, hard to tell that these guys are old brewing buddies and students of Mikkeller’s, huh?) But, unlike his Øllen Om Bogen, this isn’t a hop bomb at all. I keep expecting the hops to blow up and storm my taste buds in an all-out assault, but they’re actually extremely polite as they completely redefine what a lager can be. The label says “Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better” - I could drink enough of these to see better, for sure. (18/20)
