COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Bottle 33cl gift from my Summer Santa MisoW thanks. A cloudy amber beer with good head. Nose is low on oranges and hop resin. Aroma is medium malty, dry, wheat touch, kind of saison yeast notes, dry orange, grapefruit grassy and green hops, light caramel.

Cloudy orange, frothy head of big bubbles. Well lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, blossom, resin. Medium body. The taste has a malty base and a powerfull roof of hops: earthy, herbal, fruity, piny. Herbal finish. Long. A very good lager tasting not exactly like lager.

Draft glass @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Amber / orange, creamy white head. Nose is bitter orange hop nose with quite a bit grass, dried orange peel, caramel is light, light yeast, served too cold it feels to me,… Taste is dried orange peel, a bit more on the bitter grass side than fruity, caramel, light iron note, grapefruit, resin,… A bit thin & a touch iron-like body,… It didn’t feel optimal,… It mimicked the profile of a typical USA DIPA a bit too much but you felt a bit like some caramel, malt & fruity-character was missing due to this. Still a pretty pleasant & easy to drink to drink beer. Just a bit more bitter grass forward, a bit thinner & less fruity / hoppy forward than expected.

@ Hatten 16-7-8: riktig stor humledoft. Smaken är mycket fin av humle mot malt. Om alla lager kunde vara så här

One ore great lager from To Ol. Crisp and refreshing as the rest. Great hoppy aroma - resin, flowers present also in flavour. Light bodied, crisp, dry with medium bitter finish.

33 cl bottle. Golden color with thin white foam. Aroma: fruit notes (mango, black currant, grapes, pineapple, peach, grapefruit), mixed with the resin-pine, grassy and floral hops. Taste: good malt body, pine and grapefruit, tangerine and other fruits. Lively carbonation.

Bottle. Hazy orange, lasting white head. Fruity hop aroma, sweet malts. Peachy stonefruit hop character, excoriating bitterness. Too bitter for a lager, even for a pilsner, and the sweet malts are unwelcome if this is truly the style that was aimed for. It’s one thing to call out lagers for being pissy and dull, but it’s a whole other thing to miss the mark on a style so completely as to be unidentifiable.

330 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy, amber orange with a huge, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Hoppy, grapefruit aroma with some grass. Sweet fruity flavour of grapefruit, peach, malt and grass with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent lager. World class.
