4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy pale amber with two fingers of off-white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is grapefruit, pine, light caramel malt. (8/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderate bitter. (8/10) Medium body, lively carbonation, dry and crisp with a lingering bitter finish. (4/5)
“Reparationsbajer” is Danish for "recovery beer” - as in, a hangover recovery beer. Genius. A little heavy on the ABV for an APA - so as to provide maximal medicinal hair-of-the-dog benefit, I suppose - but not to the point that it would upset one’s presumably already delicate constitution. The lively carbonation seems perfect to cut through flannel-mouth, as does the dry crispness. And the blend of Amarillo, Centennial, and Nelson Sauvin (seriously, my new favourite hop) provide a nice fruity and citrusy flavour without being too bitter. I’m almost disappointed I’m not hungover, so as to test it better. (16/20)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Earthy hoppy aroma. Flavour is much the same, but some freshness from the hops and a pleasant licorice-like hint is there. Quite bitter. (At home, 16.04.2015)

Sweet fruity thing going on. Passion fruit, pine needles? Longish bitter aftertaste. Something is still missing though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
An orange beer with a quite big and blond head. Aroma has grapefruits, pine needles, and some tropical mangos. Taste is similar as aroma, strong grapefruits, pine needles, some tropical fruits. Medium bodied, slightly harsh carbonation that is enhancing the bitterness. Bitterness is quite long. Nothing new there, but good beer, anyway.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 33cl. Clear amber copper with a frothy to creamy offwhite head. Grassy citric and floral aroma. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Low sweetness with a heavy herbal bitter character. I like that they strived to make it more than just a weak IPA. Unorthodox and very pleasant.
