On tap @ Mikkeller, Bangkok. Orange, slightly hazy, beige head. Nose and taste are big on wild yeastiness: sour, tard and earthy, which all linger in the aftertaste. Fruity too, with peach and marmalade. A bit peppery. Nicely subtle white wine, cognac and barrel tones. Light bodied (making it an easy drinkable ale but also limiting the complex and interesting flavours, sadly), lively carbonation, refreshing mouthfeel.

On tap @ Mikkeller & Friends, København. Pours dark golden with a creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark fruits with tannins and oak barrels, as well as nuts and balsamic vinegar. Creamy body with average carbonation. Flavour is tart with light farmyard notes, oak barrels and tannins, as well as nuts, figs and kandi. Lingering tart wooden finish.

Big beige head. Clear deep red body. Deep vinous barnyard aroma with salty fruity earthy notes. Fruity earthy barnyard aroma with alcoholic white wine notes. Dry-sweet earthy barnyard taste with salty wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish vinuous white wine aftertaste with spicy barnyard notes. Lovely. Highly drinkable, balanced and overall very nice. (0.375l bottle, don’t remember where from.)

Bottle at the chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. Pours mostly clear amber with a soft, off-white foam head. Big breat character, some sweat, berries, old wood. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with a bit of tangy wood, more brett funk, some fruity sweetness, a bit of alcohol, grass. Decent.

Jajamän, det här var välsmakande dock var både kroppen och smaken lite för tam för min smak. Smaken bar toner av äpplemust och sassafras, balansen var tjusigt avvägd.

Wine and caramel on the aroma. Golden in appearance, minimal to no head. Sour and wine taste, with a touch of sweetness at some point. Fairly lively with a light body, the colour reminded me of cognac. Overall: Nice ale with a wine complexity to it, verging on a sweeter sour ale due to white wine aging.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2015 White pepper notes with a bready background, quite dry, but a slight acidic tartness, the taste is upfront and then a sudden blandness, which ends up with ’is this it’, something missing, but can’t put a word on it.

Dark toilet water brown. Moldy moscato and grape skins. Moldy cellar. Taste is ripened tree fruit, vanilla and tobacco. Walnuts and peanuts. More mold, acidic dry old grapes. Oak. but honestly just not too good.
