Amber pour, off white head. Sweet up front, bready, doughy, light resin, a bit fruity. Just ok.

Smells like wonderful Christmas with sweet toffee and spruce and plum. But the flavor is big bitter and pine and a slightly sour twang. Much more bitter and piney than necessary.

12/18/14. 750mL bottle thanks to cbfobes. Murky red amber pour with a TON of floaties depending on your pour all under a small tan head that sticks. Fruity aroma, lightly tropical, maybe a hint of Brett? Caramel in the flavor, sugary, fruity, not bad.

750ml bottle split with drowland, pours a hazy dark copper with an egg shelled white head with some floaties in the glass as well, aroma is sweet with quite a bit of candy sugar coming through, the flavor has a super sweet front end with a caramel like finish, abv is tasted and isn’t all that hidden, interesting.

It's ok, not really what I want in a belgian ale. Kinda metallic and odd flavored. I'd prefer not to have this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a deep copper color, with a frothy layer of off white head foam, and wavy lacing. The nose was lurking alcohol, subtle spice, and dried fruit, noting a distinct hint of cherry. Medium+ bodied, the taste continued the aroma notes, presented a moderate, earthy bitterness, alcohol that advanced to warming, and some tartness to the finish. A tasty seasonal.

From a large shared bottle. Strong ale with more medium roast malts than expected, yet no shortage of darker roasted grain flavor. Plenty of light soft fruits too. O: a treat to try this tasty Dane that has excellent malt complexity.

Bottle. Brewtique, Macclesfield. Hazy, reddy amber. Messy, sticky, off white head. Sweet, thick, fruity toffee malts. Ripe banana. Old English marmalade. Some spicy, orange hop in there. Taste sets off chewy sweet, then gets bitter. The bitterness digs in, and lasts. Chewy, oily palate. Finish is big, herby, spicy bitter. Very tasty, robust, sit in front of the fire getting a bit sloppy, festive sipping beer. Very nice.
