Bottle (75cl) from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Gorgeous copper/amber colour, slighly hazy. Half-inch offwhite sticky head, good retention, leaves a stable band of lacing. Aoma of concentrated fruit (apple, pear, fig, banana), malt, yeast, rosé pepper. Medium/full body, soft carbonation. Sweet and spicy taste, nicely balanced by fruity acidity and mild bitterness. Quite subtle christmas-ness, but certainly working for me.

Bottled at home, price isnt enjoyable but beer is worth it. Strong taste, aroma of caramel, alcohol ( sometimes too much alcoholic), banana. Nice, balanced beer. Very warming and tasty. Cons are too strong taste of alcohol and appearance.

Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours dark amber with a huge beige head and a toffee and candi sugar aroma. There is a strange thick fruit flavor that starts sweet then becomes bitter on the palate. Also a bit of yeasty banana ester and a warm alcohol trail.

Bottle at Yespr’s - Thanks (and Draught at M&F). Clear red/amber - offwhite head. Acid, sweetness, nice hoppy, orange, rather high sweetness, pineapple, piney notes, ok bitterness, estery - red and green apples, sharp alcoholic notes. The hops and light acid bite helps it a lot - very sweet.

Capped 750 from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy orange/copper with a slight tan head. Aroma of yeast, lighter fruits, and "fresh". Maybe some berry notes. Making me think of Fruits de Bois. Full bodied. Flavor is malt, yeast, fruit, - but to a certain extent I’m experiencing memories of myrtle. Not blueberries - the weird, woody leafy kind of thing. It’s frothy and lipsmacking. Malty, but not excessively so. Really challenges the palate and helps keep one’s attention on line. Good drink.

Bottle. Brewtique, Macclesfield. Hazy, reddy amber. Messy, sticky, off white head. Sweet, thick, fruity toffee malts. Ripe banana. Old English marmalade. Some spicy, orange hop in there. Taste sets off chewy sweet, then gets bitter. The bitterness digs in, and lasts. Chewy, oily palate. Finish is big, herby, spicy bitter. Very tasty, robust, sit in front of the fire getting a bit sloppy, festive sipping beer. Very nice.
