375 ml. bottle. Purchased @ De Hopduvel. I don’t see a date. Pours deep red copper with creamy, lightly tanned head. Nose is huge jam, red fruits & strawberry jam, thick sweet red wine, caramel, exotic sugar, big toffee, biscuit,… Taste is big on faintly mineral strawberry jam with huge exotic sugar & big very sweet jam-like, sweet red desert wine, big on desert wine, oak, light Maraschino Cherries, sweet malts & thick spices, light sweet jam oxidation, sweet bread, thick raisins, faint iron, big thick, biscuit,… Slick, thinned out jammy red wine body,… Very interesting, a tad thin but a very fun sweet desert wine like Belgian style treat. For some odd reason it makes me think of Communion wine which is odd since it isn’t a specific wine as far as I believe.

No distinct aroma, very deceptively strong. Rich beer but balanced and not overpowering. Excellent

Swaroga (1758) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 6, 2015
Big head and brown in color. Oily and thick. The aroma is alcohol, tart and cooked fruits. Flavor is the same with some spicy clove and kumin. The beer is well balanced and very easy to drink despite the alcohol. Still lacks a bit power in overall flavor.

Bottle. Brown color, white head. Aroma of vanilla, oak and raisin. Taste of oak, brown malt, nuts, raisin, spices, vanilla, ripe fruit and cherry. Soft mouthfeel. Nice beer, but perhaps a bit too modest.

Benzai (10131) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2015
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Slightly unclear reddish to amber color, average to medium sized off-white to beige head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, a touch of herbs or spices, a bit bitter and perhaps some hops, but they’re dominated by the herbs or spices imo. Oak barrels? Don’t get it. Could be me of course. Anyway, not really my thing.

Bottle @ benzai. Copper to brown colour with a large off-white head. Smells slightly sweet, some raisisns, malts. Tastes way too sweet, raisins. Full body, soft carbo.

Leicht trübe orangebraune Farbe, ordentlich gelbliche Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, holzig, Vanille, etwas Alkohol, geringe Säure. Geschmack alkoholisch malzig, reife Früchte, Vanille, etwas Holz.
