COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Enough heavy dark obnoxious sweet super malty x-mas and winter beers. When you eat heavy duck with fat gravy, the last thing you want is another heavy sweet malt liqour!
NO! you want something that can help you digest the dinner, ease you stommach and cleance your throat. And that is exactly what Snowball Saison will do. It is a SUPER sparkling crisp and dry Saison that has been refermented with milk acid bacterias and dry hopped over and over to give the beer a crisp and smooth tart finish (not to mention.... there is a lot of hops of course...)
Have a nice winter!

Ingredients: Water, Malt, Flaked Oats , Light Candy, HOPPPPPSSSSS (Amarillo, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Hallertauer) Yeast and brettanomyces

En god smag af malt, og den har nok nogle noter af en saison, men den høje procent gør at den har mere fylde end en normal saison.

8%ABV. Saison. Poured out a cloudy gold. 10ºSRM. Nose is fresh pine and citrus brightness. There is no farmhouse funk. WTF?? If you let it sit and warm a little you maaaaaybe start to get a little lactic funk in the nose. Mouthfeel is sudsy. Pronounced carbonation. Palate may be saison like with pale malt and wheat malt flavors of of wonder bread, wheat flour and raw dough. There is a cookie-dough character that is raw and sweet. Hops which are typically not part of the saison ride are here in force with flavors of fresh pine needles, some sap, some resin, and a very present almost aggressive vegetal raw bitterness. This vanishes soon enough for it to still be a saison?? Finish is sweet and bitter and brief. Overall, I would imagine that the fine folks at To Øl have harnessed the wildness of the saison not unlike roping a mustang. Goes on Favorites List!

33cl bottle. Pours a clear light orange, with a tall white head that gives way to a fine white lacing. Smells of citrus hops, saison and brett yeast. The taste is herb bitter, with notes of grapefruit and honey. A bit of harsh bitterness in the aftertaste, the kind that makes your mouth tight - thankfully, it works OK in this beer, but still, it’s not among my favourite tastes.

Bottle from Otter’s Tears, Burslem. Pours hazy golden orange with a huge white froth. Nice and hoppy, some brett, sharp finish. I liked this and I’m not a great fan of saisons.

Hazy yellow-orange body with big frothy white well-lasting head. Fruity hops, pine, perfume, a bit of barnyard, some sweat, some funk. Heavy bitter, light to medium sweet, medium to heavy acidic, long dry finish. Medium body, oily palate, lively carbonation. A good saison for this amount of hops.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy light golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is tropical hops with mango, pineapple and passion fruit, and yeasty notes of wood, as well as some funky bretty notes. Creamy body, with average carbonation. Flavour is sharp tropical hops with peaches, grapefruit and orange peel, and yeasty notes of wooden barrels, white wine grapes, as well as some farmyardy notes. Lingering hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle. Pale gold with a modest white head. Gentle yet classy aroma of oranges, light puddingy dough, under-ripe nectarines. Medium bodied, carbonation on the low side for a saison. Decent balance between sweet, tart and bitter, with fruit flavours making up most of all three. Oranges, nectarines, some light dough, gentle spices. Dry and quite bitter at the end with a suggestion of funk right at the end. (Almost) justifies its alcoholic strength with depth rather than punch.
