COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Enough heavy dark obnoxious sweet super malty x-mas and winter beers. When you eat heavy duck with fat gravy, the last thing you want is another heavy sweet malt liqour!
NO! you want something that can help you digest the dinner, ease you stommach and cleance your throat. And that is exactly what Snowball Saison will do. It is a SUPER sparkling crisp and dry Saison that has been refermented with milk acid bacterias and dry hopped over and over to give the beer a crisp and smooth tart finish (not to mention.... there is a lot of hops of course...)
Have a nice winter!

Ingredients: Water, Malt, Flaked Oats , Light Candy, HOPPPPPSSSSS (Amarillo, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Hallertauer) Yeast and brettanomyces

(750ml bottle shared) Pours fairly hazy medium gold with a huge lingering white pillow and literal piles of lace remaining. The nose has citrus, yeasty dough, medicinal herbal hop notes, white pepper, bubblegum sweetness and a subtle musty funk. On the palate, semi-sweet pale malts, citrus peel esp. orange, peppery, leafy and phenolic, a bit grainy and bready. Finish has pale candy sugar, a bit grassy, medicinal, pithy, astringent with a light bitterness and alcohol touches. Moderate mouthfeel, slightly creamy with soft carb. Not quite sure what it is, saison or tripel or whatever, doesn’t totally hide its booze but nice and drinkable nonetheless.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø - Langnes. Lys gyldengulbrun. Svakt uklar. Kjempehøyt skum som daler veldig sakte. Tynn lacing. God søt fruktaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Mørke plommer. Sitrus. Blir tørr & syrlig etter hvert. Avslutter veldig tørt. Mye bunnfall igjen på flaska.

Bionda e schiumosa. Profumata, floreale, agrumata, amarognola, secca, "croccante". Si sente l’Amarillo, il corpo è medio-lieve, struttura setosa, un po’ corta ma dissetante. Buona!

En god smag af malt, og den har nok nogle noter af en saison, men den høje procent gør at den har mere fylde end en normal saison.

8%ABV. Saison. Poured out a cloudy gold. 10ºSRM. Nose is fresh pine and citrus brightness. There is no farmhouse funk. WTF?? If you let it sit and warm a little you maaaaaybe start to get a little lactic funk in the nose. Mouthfeel is sudsy. Pronounced carbonation. Palate may be saison like with pale malt and wheat malt flavors of of wonder bread, wheat flour and raw dough. There is a cookie-dough character that is raw and sweet. Hops which are typically not part of the saison ride are here in force with flavors of fresh pine needles, some sap, some resin, and a very present almost aggressive vegetal raw bitterness. This vanishes soon enough for it to still be a saison?? Finish is sweet and bitter and brief. Overall, I would imagine that the fine folks at To Øl have harnessed the wildness of the saison not unlike roping a mustang. Goes on Favorites List!

33cl bottle. Pours a clear light orange, with a tall white head that gives way to a fine white lacing. Smells of citrus hops, saison and brett yeast. The taste is herb bitter, with notes of grapefruit and honey. A bit of harsh bitterness in the aftertaste, the kind that makes your mouth tight - thankfully, it works OK in this beer, but still, it’s not among my favourite tastes.
