COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Enough heavy dark obnoxious sweet super malty x-mas and winter beers. When you eat heavy duck with fat gravy, the last thing you want is another heavy sweet malt liqour!
NO! you want something that can help you digest the dinner, ease you stommach and cleance your throat. And that is exactly what Snowball Saison will do. It is a SUPER sparkling crisp and dry Saison that has been refermented with milk acid bacterias and dry hopped over and over to give the beer a crisp and smooth tart finish (not to mention.... there is a lot of hops of course...)
Have a nice winter!

Ingredients: Water, Malt, Flaked Oats , Light Candy, HOPPPPPSSSSS (Amarillo, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Hallertauer) Yeast and brettanomyces

Bottle to celebrate the birth of beautiful Abby. Thanks H. Light cloudy gold, big frothy head that dissipates quickly but sticks to the glass. Subtle aromas of pineapple, strawberry and grassy hops. The flavours are more pronounced with spicy, peppery hops, a touch of lemon sourness and funky brett. Quite bitter, but refreshing. A heavier mouthfeel than most saisons, most likely due to a much lower level of carbonation.

Keg @The Vintage, Leith. Pours golden with the slightest and thinnest of haze. Nose of pepper and citrus, lemon. Quite bitter lemon and grapefruit at the start then the yeastyness kicks in, funky, zesty and fruity, this got better as the glass went on.

Bottle at Nuch’s with friends. Pour is slightly hazy orange with a big white head and great lacing. Candied orange peel, caramelly, effervescent, bready, slightly grassy, husky, straw, and fruity aroma. Taste is grassy, grapefruit peel, caramel, toasted sesame, nutty, musty, orange, and biscuit with a light bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel with high carbonation. Easy drinking but a bit too malt heavy for my liking.

On tap at Mikkeller San Francisco, pours a cloudy golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, some nail varnish, and a bit of hay. Flavour brings out hay, Belgian yeast, and some astringent hops on the finish. Dry, zesty and rather astringent for a saison. Solid stuff, but nothing overly sophisticated.

Grifo. Vaso Shaker. Color latón dorado y apariencia algo velada. On-tap. Shaker glass. Bright brass color, chill haze appearance. Foam is white, crown is close & thick. Resins, herbs –mint- flowers & lactic notes to the nose. Malty upfront is sweep out by sharp hoppiness. Medium to full body. Moderate but sparkling carbonation. Oily texture & subtle spicy palate. Bitter fruit in the middle & piney sensation rounded by spiced notes, citric zest, grapefruit & slight tartar touch. Long sharp bitter finish. Dried & herbal aftertaste. Worth to try!!
