Danish: Imperial Whisky Barrel Aged Milk Stout.

English: The beast has landed. A limited one time release Whisky Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout at 13,1 % ABV. "Sort Mælk" = "Black Milk"... Oh Yeah!

Bottle. Pours pitch black, with a finger thick brown head. Splendid aroma of more or less everything, and then a bit. Here’s sweet burned caramel malts, oak barrels and bourbon, tobacco, tar, liquorice as well as coffee. Body is thick, full and oily, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with notes of burned malts, molasses, leather, liquorice and tobacco. Nice sweet caramel finish. Awesome beer!

Bottle. Dark brown head, black beer. Aroma of roasted malts/coffee/chocolate-cake, alcohol, cherry or plums, just a little hint of wood/barrel. Soft and well balanced taste, with dark chocolate/coffee, vanilla (whisky) and some licorice.

Bottle. Pours black with a golden brown head. Hoppy and chocolaty aroma. Very hoppy and chocolaty bitter taste- Theres also a dry woodiness there. Quite light for a 13%abv beer. Very smooth and creamy texture.

Bottle. Pours black with a small brown head. Hoppy, chocolate, vanilla and a nice whiskey finish. Nice milkstout smoothness but with a big enough body to carry the abv.

Pours pitch black with a dark espresso brown creamy head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, creamy dark milky chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, roasted coffee, dark sweet fruits, woody alcoholic notes, really balanced and with smooth edges. Taste has a lot more alcoholic woody whiskey notes along with some liquorice, dark sweet fruits, roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate, creamy oat, a bit cigar maybe and some very weak soy sauce. Very intense milk stout. Well made!

330ml bottle. Pitch black colour with average, firm, thick, creamy, moderately lacing, brown head. Sweet, dark malty aroma, treacle, in the background typical whiskey notes, peat, leather,, gaining more ground with time. Taste is sweet dark malty, treacle, with well matching dry counterweight from the whiskey, peat and leather again, also some wood, a touch of roast; some warming alcohol in the finish.

33 cl bottle. Ebony with a grayish tan head. Nose is caramel, molasses, candied orange peel and whiskey. Medium to full body with a lively tingle and a burn. Bring it on! Taste is bitter orange peel, cane sugar, pine and lime juice ending with well integrated whiskey and wood. Quite sweet but not cloying. Oddly, missing coffee and chocolate notes but still a stout. You forget how strong it is.

Got my fingers in one at Café Vikingen on Nørrebro. It’s simply beautiful in a glass; very deep red colour(almost black), beatiful head. - When you put your nose in the glass, you know you’re in for a good one! The taste is simply perfect! Very nice aromas of madeira rum, raisins, dark malts. But the most important thing is that it EXPLODES in your mouth.... BANG.... And then the sweetnes comes. Topped with creamy, almost buttery, thickness. It’s like drinking butter toffees, And to my taste it’s to much! I would strongly recommend this beer, but not a full pint! Buy the bottle and share it between 3 - 4 persons - Then it is a very good milk stout!
