Danish: Imperial Whisky Barrel Aged Milk Stout.

English: The beast has landed. A limited one time release Whisky Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout at 13,1 % ABV. "Sort Mælk" = "Black Milk"... Oh Yeah!

Smell of tar and caramel. Black colour, dark brown head. Aroma of tar, port wine, red berries, alcohol, earth. Surprisingly fizzy, yet soft carbon. Oily.

33cl bottle, cellared for a year or so. Pours black with thick tan brown head - looks viscous. Aroma is full of great vanilla, oak, nice fruity whiskey notes, roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruitiness, some coffee, light booziness. Cracking aroma. Taste has great depth - multilayered fruity whiskey notes, vanilla, oak barrel stuff, light liquorice, milk chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, sweet sugary notes. Medium/full mouthfeel. Hardly any booze apparent. Lingering whiskey and chocolate notes. This is a seriously good brew, God bless To Øl.

Black color with medium sized beige head, creamy. Nice aroma, roasted malt, dark chocolate, light tar, light dust. Full bodied, excellent dark chocolate flavor, with some roasted malt and an impression of dust in the end; strong bitterness; quite sweet too; terreux, light liquorice; the alcohol is well hidden.
Very good but unpolished.

Bottle.Sweet liqoury aroma with dark fruit, caffe latte and caramel. Massive, but very smooth, sweety and liqoury taste. Longstanding chocollate-alcoholly aftertaste. I like it.

Black oily with a minimal brown head. Great complex roasted aroma. Wood, alchohol, caramel. All in a very nice balance. Very complex flavor aswell. Salty liquirice, roasted and alchoholic bitterness, great tasty sweetness and a finish you can nip taste for a long time, discovering yet more notes. Great brew.

Bottle. Pours Black with a bronze head. I was a little concerned about this one because I have a history of not caring for Milk stouts. The lactic sweetness is the thing I dont like. This didnt pan out like a milk stout at all. The aroma is potent whisky with oaky vanilla. The flavour is heavily whisky orientated. It’s a sipper. So thick and so delicious. I savoured every drop. The booziness, thickness, whiskey edge and madeirised, burnt sugar sweetness are all elements of my dream Imperial stout. This was a real gem.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours pitch black with 2cm of rocky dark mocha head. Jesus Lord this looks delicious. Smells like chocolate milk and bourbon, exactly how it should! Oaky vanilla, raisins, soy, chocolate, coffee and booze in the nose. Flavour is smoky chocolate, bourbon, oak vanilla, soy and a warm after taste. 13% is peripheral. Nice thick oily body, lingering raisin, chocolate and bourbon sweetness. Tastes how it smells, which contains a brilliant complexity. This has the ability to be sipped as both a bourbon or a stout, offering a vastly dimensional approach as a unique brew or distilled drop of unlimited deliciousness. Props to To Ol.
