COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Imperial Whisky Barrel Aged Milk Stout.

English: The beast has landed. A limited one time release Whisky Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout at 13,1 % ABV. "Sort Mælk" = "Black Milk"... Oh Yeah!

330ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a thin head. Aroma is sweet with soft whisky. Taste is sweet and milky throughout with whisky in the finish. Drinks below the strength and not over done.

Intense roast with a very nice level of sweetness. Incredibly balanced with subtle notes of oak, scotch, a bit smoke, licorice and vanilla. Great creamy mouthfeel and very frothy. Alcohol is very low, and the taste is quite intense, but completely not up there.

bottle, nice work by the good folk at beergeek in bringing this to slunce ve skle 2013. dark brown with a light haze and a slender mocha head; some whisky in the aroma along with melted mars bar; rich texture, plenty of alcohol showing but nicely balanced by vanilla cream, chocolate and a bit of burnt toast bitterness

Aroma char: kastanis. Tumšs, melna puta. Viegli gaistoša. Pēc imp staouta ar ozola mazumiņu. Garša ļoti atšķirīga garša. Garša- pārāk mucaina, kas šādā piesānitājuma levelā sit jau cigaretes, pasaussa.

330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 31-05-2014.
In short: a nice aged sweet stout.
Pours black with nice tan head. Short head retention, good lacing. Roasty, creamy, liquor aromas. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is smooth, creamy, liquor, roasty, some sweet notes. Alcohol noticed but still well hidden for its high abv. Quite balanced and enjoyable.

_angst_ (2612) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 17, 2014
Bottle courtesy of Stefan. Pours oily pitch black with a very small dark mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, caramel, milk duds, dark chocolate, sweetened dark roast coffee with milk, alcohol, charred wood, vanilla fudge, bourbon, soot and brown sugar. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty with heavily roasted malts, vanilla fudge, milk duds, bourbon, sweeter dark roast coffee, moist soil, smoke, minerals, shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, ash and sweet liquorice candy. Mouthfeel is fat, oily, round, roasted astringent and full bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, sweetened dark roast coffee with milk, soil, burnt wood, vanilla fudge and bourbon. A tasty onslaught...

migajos (151) - Warsaw, POLAND - APR 14, 2014
UPDATED: APR 28, 2014 Aroma: dark fruits, a bit too much alcohol. Appearance: beautiful brown, long lasting, thick head. Taste: I can’t really feel lactose/milk or coffee, but the dark fruity flavours shine beautifully. I feel blueberries, wine notes. Very rich, very heavy. Alcohol is not that strong as in aroma. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Aroma is milk chocolate, roasty, raisin. Tempting. Almost black colour, brown head, oily texture. As for the taste - you get fruits up front, raisins, plum. Then strong chocolate with bold, but very smooth roastiness. Woody notes in the dry roasted finish. This really hits the sweet spot. Complex. No sourness or astringency despite the massive roast. Alcohol not perceivable, although the finish is kind of warm. One of the beer world masterpieces.
