4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Dark brown head, black beer. Aroma of roasted malts/coffee/chocolate-cake, alcohol, cherry or plums, just a little hint of wood/barrel. Soft and well balanced taste, with dark chocolate/coffee, vanilla (whisky) and some licorice.

Brownish black. Just like tar. Thin head. Rich body. It doesn’t look i it lke milk, but there is a vague ilk body to it. Strange. Toffee, licorice, resin, caramel, dark chocolate and sweetened vanilla in the taste. I didn’t notice andy whisky flavor, but the ol’ barrells could contribute to the wholesomeness. Could be a bit weaker in alcohol perhaps.

Almost disappointed when I poured it, not much of a top. But a robust aroma of dried plums and leather.
Taste is full and mature, smooth and warm with a hint of whiskey.. And you feel warm and nice when the bottle is almost empty.. Nice

@Basunen 14-9-6: ganska snäll doft men enbart en svag whiskeyton. Smaken är ganska god med tydlig saltlakrits och en ganska het eftersmak. Inte det jag trodde men gott.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle. Batch 142, 21/05/19. Label says 10,6%. Pours black color, thin, but lasting brown head. Interesting aroma, oak, lots of vanilla, licorice, roasted malt. Quite complex, comes in layers. The first sip is a rush of salty licorice, followed by dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt. Finish then is ashy, very ashy in fact. Not that long either. Warming, smooth. Dangerously easy to drink. I like the saltyness here. Splendid brew.

Much scent of this beer. Whiskey, oak, fruitiness and sweetness in the aroma. A cruel good coffee flavor is the first thing that strikes me with pretty much dryness and bitterness. Can add that there is soy sauce and dark chocolate. The alcohol is very well hidden in the beer. Incredibly heavy bitterness that fills the mouth a long long while. 4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours thick and black with creamy, tan head. Aroma has licorice and hints of sweet whiskey and oak. Solid mouthfeel, evident alcohol. Sweet and quite bitter raw licorice, black currant, coffee, smoke and light alcohol burn. Thick and sticky. Very good beer, but the name referring to Celan’s bone chilling poem is pretty obnoxious. I don’t understand what a Holocaust reference is doing on a beer label... #600.
